How does win7 restore desktop icons

Traditional desktop icons are too old-fashioned. We can set some more personalized icons to beautify our desktop. The following is the method I compiled to restore desktop icons in win7, hoping to help you!

Change the system icon

Click the right mouse button in the blank space of the desktop to pop up a shortcut menu, and select Personalization to enter the Personalization window.

Click the "Change Desktop Icon" link on the left side of the personalization window to enter the "Desktop Icon Settings" dialog box.

Select the icon to be changed, such as Computer, and click the Change Icon button to enter the Change Icon dialog box.

You can select an icon in the list, or click Browse to select an icon in the file. Select the icon in the list here, and then click OK in the Change Icon and Desktop Icon Settings dialog boxes respectively.

At this point, I found that the "computer" icon on the desktop has become a changed "style". In addition, we can change other icons.

Restore system icon

If you are not satisfied with the existing icon after the change, you can undo it as the default icon. Right-click the blank space on the desktop and click Personalize to enter the Personalization window and the dialog box for changing icon settings.

Select the icon that needs to restore the default settings, and click the "Restore Default" button. At this point, the icon on the desktop has been restored to its original state.

Change the application icon

Besides changing the icon of the system, we can also change the icon of the software we use, such as QQ. Method is different from the method of system icon.

Here we change the icon of Tencent QQ, click the icon with the left key, and press the combination key to open the properties window.

Click the "Change Icon" button at the bottom of the property window, and the "Change Icon" dialog box will open, in the same way as changing the system icon.
