What is a fax machine?
What is a telephone fax?
Simply put: just send the document to the fax machine, dial the other party's phone number, hear the fax signal on the other party's phone, press the fax button immediately, and the document will be copied slowly like typing ... the other party will have the same document, or a copy of the chart and certificate. Of course, the other party must also have a "fax machine".
Therefore, fax has become one of the important means of office, business and communication.
Online fax:
Online fax service is a good combination of broadband network and traditional telephone fax service. Through online fax, as long as you can access the broadband network, you can send and receive faxes directly with your computer, just as simple as sending and receiving emails. Through the online fax system, users can use IE browser to send faxes directly, and fax group sending can be completed instantly. Each user has an online fax extension number, and other users can use ordinary telephone fax machines to send faxes to online fax users. After receiving a fax, users can flexibly distribute and forward the fax.
The use of online fax system can simplify work links, improve work efficiency, save equipment purchase cost and maintenance cost, realize paperless management, and make information communication more timely and smooth.
Characteristics of online fax service
1.24-hour duty: the server of online fax system is online 24 hours a day, receiving faxes from all over the world at any time and saving them in its own large-capacity database, without user intervention and management, saving energy and time.
2. Privatization: Users can check the fax online anytime and anywhere, and the system provides identity verification function with good confidentiality and high security.

What do you mean by faxing?
Is to fax the documents that the other party needs or the documents that you want to send to the other party; The sooner the other party can receive the documents you sent on the other party's fax machine in time. The way of operation is that you must know the number of the other fax machine. After entering the fax number of the other party, put the document in the location where the fax machine uploads the document. When the fax reception signal is OK, after hearing the continuous beep (that is the sound of our fax machine, you should pay attention), press the start key (the beep disappears) and the file will start to be transmitted. After confirmation, the fax will give a short beep. PS: If there is a continuous alarm tone during the fax process, it means that your fax file may not be put away properly, or the signal of the other fax machine is suddenly interrupted, or there may be no white paper on the other fax machine. My answer is over. I wonder if you are satisfied?
What does fax mean?
Fax, English name is fax.
Working principle of fax machine: The working principle of fax machine is very simple, that is, the documents to be sent are scanned and converted into a series of black and white dot information, and then converted into audio signals, which are transmitted through traditional telephone lines. After the receiver's fax machine "hears" the signal, it will print out the corresponding point information, so that the receiver will receive a copy of the original. However, the printed effect of this fax machine after receiving the signal is different, and their working principles are basically different in these aspects.
Practical operation of fax machine: you can read the instructions. Simply put, you just need to insert the written article or a document into the file input port of the fax machine, dial the fax number of the other party, and press the "Start" button (some of them are "Send") after the other party replies, and it's done!

You can read the instructions first and explain briefly. You just need to insert the written article or a document into the document input port of the fax machine, dial the fax number of the other party, and press the "Start" (some are "Send") button after the other party replies. The following is a common fax sending method: 1. Put the handwritten envelope paper on it first and hear a click. Pick up the phone, broadcast the other party's number and wait for the signal tone. Press the fax key to hang up the phone.
It's from the fax machine. What does that mean?
Close the report and press menu #04.
Then use "+"or "-"to select Close.
What is a fax and how to send it?
Fax machine is one of the most common office supplies.
Fax step
1
The first thing is to put the contents to be faxed into the fax machine. Of course, before you come here, you should open the lid and put the manuscript to be faxed in the fax machine. The fax machine sucks the manuscript to a distance of several millimeters, indicating that the manuscript has been inserted successfully.
2
Prompt the receiver of the fax machine or press the hands-free key to dial the other party's phone number.
three
Wait for the fax machine to answer automatically and send out a "beep ~ ~ ~" fax signal. At this point, press the "Fax/Start" button and the fax will be sent automatically.
four
After dialing, hear the sound of "Didi-",and then press the "Fax/Start" key.
What does the fax number mean?
You are still at school, you should know. Actually, it's still a phone number, just connected to a fax machine. Some are set to receive automatically, some are received manually, and they can also be used as ordinary telephones.
What does fax mean?
Fax is the fastest-growing non-telephone telecommunication service in recent twenty years. Still images recorded on paper, such as words, charts, photos, etc. , scanned and converted into electrical signals, and transmitted to the destination through various channels. At the receiving end, through a series of inverse transformation processes, a communication method similar to sending the original is obtained, which is called fax.
I. Classification
The fax machine decomposes the original to be sent into many tiny units (called pixels) by the optical scanning system in a specified order, and then the brightness information of these tiny units is converted into electrical signals by photoelectric conversion devices in turn, which are amplified, encoded or modulated and sent to the channel. After amplifying, decoding or demodulating the received signal, the receiver copies the original in the form of recording at the same scanning speed and order as the transmitter. Fax machines can be divided into black-and-white fax machines and color fax machines according to transmission colors; According to the occupied frequency band, it can be divided into narrowband fax machines (occupying one session frequency band) and broadband fax machines (occupying 12 sessions, 60 sessions or more).
According to the different transmission speed and modulation mode, document fax machines occupying 1 channel can be divided into the following categories: (1) machines with double-sideband modulation technology and transmission speed of about 6 minutes per page (16) are called first-class machines; (2) Using frequency band compression technology, the transmission speed of each page is about 3 minutes, which is called second-class machine; (3) Digital processing technology is adopted to reduce the redundancy of information sources, and the transmission speed of each page is about 1 min, so it is called a third-class computer; (4) Connecting computers can store information, and the transmission speed is close to real time, thus becoming four types of fax machines. According to the purpose, it can be divided into weather map fax machine, photo fax machine, document fax machine, newspaper fax machine and so on. Recording methods include electrolysis, electromagnetism, cauterization, photography, thermal and electrostatic recording, etc.
Second, the development process
Fax is a telecommunication signal based on PSTN, which transmits fax signals through devices. In recent years, due to the rapid development of science and technology, electronic network fax has gradually become a new generation of communication tools to replace fax machines. (See "History of Fax Communication" for details).
Fax communication is a communication method that uses scanning and photoelectric conversion technology to transmit static images such as words, images and photos from the sender to the receiver through wired or wireless channels, and reproduce the original static images in the receiver in the form of records.
1843, American physicist Alexander Bain invented the fax machine according to the pendulum principle. /kloc-in 0/850, Frederic Back Weil in the United States began to replace Alexander Bess's pendulum mode with a "roller and screw" device, which made fax technology take a step forward. 1865, Iranian Abakatri made a practical fax machine according to the principle put forward by Bain and Bakewell, and conducted fax communication experiments among French cities such as Paris, Lyon and Marseille. It can be seen that fax has a history of 150 years since its invention, but its popularity has been in recent decades. Prior to this, its development was very slow, mainly limited by the use conditions and backward technology. Since 1970s, countries all over the world have opened fax services on the public switched telephone network, and fax has been widely developed. Especially in 1980s, with the progress of fax machine standardization and the maturity of technology, it became the fastest developing non-voice service. To sum up, fax has gone through the following three stages from production to development;
1, basic stage
( 1843— 1972)
At present, fax machines basically adopt mechanical scanning mode, and most of them adopt roller scanning. The circuit of fax machine adopts analog technology and discrete components. In terms of transmission, low-efficiency modulation technologies such as amplitude modulation and frequency modulation are adopted, and low-speed transmission is basically carried out by using special wired circuits. At this time, the application scope of fax is also very narrow, mainly used for news and weather broadcast.
2. Development and promotion
( 1972— 1980)
Since 1969, especially after 1972, fax has entered a new historical development period compared with ITT's progress in fax standardization and the development of fax technology itself. During this period, fax technology developed from analog to digital, mechanical scanning was replaced by solid-state electronic scanning, and low-speed transmission developed to high-speed transmission. Represented by document fax machine, its appearance and popularity have changed people's traditional views on fax machines and accelerated the development of fax communication. In addition, the application of fax has also expanded, except for transmitting documents and news. ......
What is IP fax?
I didn't want to type by myself, so I gave you someone else's. I hope it helps you.
1. What is IP fax?
Based on TCP/IP protocol, IP fax is a relatively novel but uncomplicated technology. It is similar to the traditional telephone network, but there are essential differences. It sends faxes to all parts of the world in a balanced and reliable way through the Internet backbone network, rather than through the expensive and unreliable international telephone network. Because the communication cost of the Internet has nothing to do with the distance, users can enjoy the service of "fax" with any place in the world by paying only the local telephone fee and the Internet information service fee through this system. Through the interconnection with the Internet, it has wide coverage and simple interconnection, and the combination of PC and Internet technology has brought many new functions, such as e-mail to fax, fax mailbox, network fax and so on.
In the workflow of this new technology, the fax sending equipment can be a personal computer or an ordinary fax machine. It sends the fax to the local fax service station (provided by the Internet fax service provider) through the ordinary telephone line, and then sends it to the corresponding receiving station through the Internet, and finally sends it from the receiving station to the destination fax machine. IP fax network uses central control equipment to manage and monitor the use of T 1/E 1 lines, which can effectively reduce network congestion. In addition, faxes are transmitted on the Internet through encryption technology to ensure security. Internet fax takes IP packets as the main means, and intercontinental transmission is carried out through the Internet, which saves the high cost of cable/satellite transmission, thus reducing the international fax rate by 90%.
IP fax avoids the quality problems of long-distance telecommunication lines. Due to the continuous improvement of Internet technical standards and technologies, the quality of IP fax will also be continuously improved. Internet-based IP fax enables users to use ordinary fax machines instead of dedicated internet access, computers and software devices. No special dialing method is needed, and the dial-in number and account password can also be written into the abbreviated key of the dialer or fax machine.
Second, the transmission mode of IP fax
There are two ways of IP fax: store-and-forward and real-time transmission.
Store-and-forward IP fax is similar to email. The calling user first sends the fax to the server, and the server sends the fax to the remote server, and the remote server finally sends the fax to the called user. After that, the caller gets the information of whether the fax transmission is successful or not.
Store-and-forward IP fax has three disadvantages:
(1) No confirmation message was sent. The fax can only be known when it is finally sent to the called party, and there is no transmission confirmation during the sending process.
(2) The scope of application is small. Store-and-forward mode can only send fax files generated by PC, but in fact, 90% faxes are sent by ordinary fax machines.
(3) Not intuitive. Store-and-forward mode can't satisfy users' intuitive feelings.
Real-time IP fax is just like ordinary fax transmission. The fax machines of both sides still need to synchronize and send data. The only difference is that the communication connection between the two places is not through telephone lines, but through IP networks. If the other party's fax line is busy, the caller will hear a busy tone and can choose to redial later or choose the store-and-forward mode. At present, real-time IP fax has become the main way.
Third, the main functions of IP fax
In addition to the functions of traditional fax, IP fax has many superior functions that ordinary fax services cannot replace. IP fax users can send faxes through the existing Internet connection through email client software, web browser, fax client software on PC or IP fax machine. At the access point of the network, chickens are connected through the Internet, and faxes can be sent directly to the access point (POP) with IP fax capability. Traditional fax users can also enjoy the benefits of seamless IP fax.
The main functions of IP fax include:
Fax-to-fax. Point-to-point fax of fax machine.
From PC to fax means that the PC terminal sends a fax to the fax machine.
Fax to mail/mail to fax. In other words, e-mail is used to send a fax, and the fax is sent to the user's e-mail box, which supports multiple attachment formats. No matter where you are or whether you have a fax machine, you can send and receive faxes through your email account.
......
What is a network fax machine?
The answer on the first floor is correct. Network faxes are usually sent directly to your mailbox or the area you set up on your computer in PDF format.
