China people's attitude towards death.

People of different ages and living conditions have different "living" states, so their understanding and attitudes towards death are different. So there is no so-called "correct" attitude towards death. If we must set a correct standard, then "calmness" is "correctness".

How can we be "calm"? Say something that may cause controversy: You think you should "die" at an "appropriate time", that is, "calmly" face death. Many people will naturally question: people should be optimistic about life and enjoy it at any time. How can they think they should die? Please note that it is "at the right time", not "immediately".

In my opinion, life is like watching a play. If you are devoted to watching the play, no matter whether the plot is happy or sad, you will be willing to continue watching it. You don't want the play to end immediately, but it can't be finished forever. Maybe when you are constantly looking forward to the plot, you hope that the play will never be finished (just as when you are full of plans for your future life, you hope that you will never die). But if we think rationally, the infinite development of drama will definitely be tasteless, and the infinite development of life will lose its meaning. So drama should have an ending, and so should life.

Life is different from drama, you can't accurately judge when your "drama of life" will end, but through hard work, you can control its length within a certain range (for example, take good care of your health and pay attention to safety, which is roughly controlled within a few decades to a hundred years), but there are also many unexpected situations that you can't predict. Therefore, as long as you enrich your life and don't waste every day, whenever death comes, you will enjoy a good play before you die.

However, at the end of the play, it is definitely not a complete play. Life should also have a "preparation stage" of plot development. Of course, it is better not to die at this stage, but people can enjoy the fun brought by life in the "preparation stage". While enjoying life, they can constantly prepare for the "good play" behind them, so that even if they die young, they will not leave too many regrets. Even if they live a long life, there will be many good plays.

Another reason why people are afraid of death is that death means the end of memory. No matter how wonderful the present life is, there will be no memories after death. Since life is good or bad, you will forget it eventually. Why pursue happiness? This is why many people feel that life is empty. I think, although the road of life can only be taken once, you can leave footprints on the road to guide future generations. If the footprints are deep, they can be left for a long time. This may be why people lament that "the asphalt road in the city is too difficult to tread on." So if you want to leave some footprints, try to solidify what you have done. Kings can leave palaces or tombs, and chastity women can leave chastity archways, but for us today, these are just some scenic spots for people to visit. What is really awe-inspiring is the human spirit.

Having said that, it may be just my own feelings, and it may not be useful to everyone, but it is also the solidification of my own concept, which is my own "chastity memorial arch" (I am a man, hehe).
