Eight Chai Street, whenever the Earth's Branches Doyou two days into the Wei, is the most lively market in this area. Originally, there is a Baidi Temple on the hill north of the street, a Nongwang Temple on the south of the street at the mouth of the depression, and a Buddhist temple in the street, where there is a giant statue of Guanyin. Monks and nuns live here, and the incense burns continuously. The Buddha Hall has a fixed property. The original school in Bachai was one of the earliest and most perfect schools in Xilin.

Today, Bachai still retains an ancient street paved with stone strips running north-south, as well as gates and broken walls at the end of the street.

Nalao Cen Clan Complex

Nalao Village, Nalao Township, is the hometown of Cen Yuying, Governor of Yunnan and Guizhou in the early Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, and Cen Chunxuan, Governor of Guangdong and Sichuan in the late Qing Dynasty. There is a complex of family houses, temples and monuments built by the Cen family through the Ming and Qing dynasties.

General Cen Huaiyuan Temple: Cen Huaiyuan, a border general of the Southern Song Dynasty, was the distant ancestor of Cen Ziqi, the governor of Shanglin in the Ming Dynasty. Yuan dynasty to Yuan year (1264) plus the rank of general. Shanglin Prefect Cen's Tufu moved to the village of Nalao after the construction of the temple, the first year of the Qing dynasty Guangxu (1875) Cen Yuying expanded into a courtyard, with a shrine, two rooms and gates, occupying an area of 180 square meters. Hall of God plaque is very grand, the corridor is also very spacious, the left and right corridors were six columns of wood frame with red packets, on the Department of bells, drums, bells, drums are painted with dragons and phoenixes.

Cen's Ancestral Hall: Qing Guangxu thirty-two years (1906) built, divided into the front and back yards, backyard quadrangle, the back hall is the Hall of God, the two rooms is the showroom, the front hall in the middle of the main door, the corners of the patio has a flower garden, the middle of the square stone platform on the hexagonal pavilions painted with flying cranes, the name of the "Crane Pavilion". Outside the gate, there is a wide porch, two shears sticking out of the eight-wall, painted with two big tigers, the gate is twelve steps down, the steps to the eight-wall base of a larger flower garden, two big neem trees close to the steps. Only at the foot of the steps is the square outer courtyard, outside the courtyard to the gate has a wall, wall painting giant dragon playing with pearls. The shrine covers an area of about 400 square meters.

Cen's inner courtyard: covers an area of 300 square meters, is the oldest part of the Cen's complex in Nalao. The Ming Dynasty attack on the Shanglin governor's department began to move the government to Nalao Zhai Cen Mi first built, the ground in the highest point of the whole village.

Gongbao House: Cen's architectural complex in the most ambitious building, because Cen Yuying in the thirteenth year of the Qing dynasty Tongzhi (1874) was awarded the Palace "Prince of the title of the young," referred to as "Gongbao", so the family home that is known as the "Gongbao House". It is seated in the center of Nalaozhai, covers an area of 1347 square meters. Beginning in the Qing dynasty Guangxu two years (1976), Guangxu five years completed, the original size of 8, gradually expanded to 13.

Zengshou Pavilion: Cen Yujing two north Cen Yuxiang's third son Cen Zengshou behind the memorial buildings. Guangxu ten years (1884) built, brick and wood tile structure, Pavilion for octagonal, up and down three layers, the bottom wall - painting is still visible in part. Covering an area of 80 square meters.

Nanyang Shuyuan: is the Nalao Cen clan school, is the teaching place. There are courtyard door, a hall, two halls, two rooms and a kitchen. The second hall is equipped with a hole seat, also known as the holy hall master.

On March 15, 2019, Xilin County was on the 2018 list of counties (cities and districts) with basically balanced development of compulsory education nationwide.

In March 2019, Xilin County was included in the list of counties in the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization area (left and right river area).
