The biggest gap between professional and amateur lies in the rational use of five power levels in table tennis technology.
Table tennis can be divided into five levels of strength according to its own strength: great strength, medium strength, resultant force, borrowing force and unloading force.
1, great power
Use great power to smash and attack the half-high winning ball. You can exert all your strength and pour all your strength into one blow. It's best to leave some room and use 90% of your strength, otherwise your opponent won't even come back to the next attack.
2. Medium strength
Medium intensity is mainly used for active attacks and continuous attacks, and generally 60% or 70% of its own strength is enough. This is also a symbol of the level of table tennis strength. High-level professional players have moderate hitting power, which produces absolute strength and speed, and is also stronger than amateur players. It is equivalent to professional players hitting the ball with reasonable strength and playing games with amateurs. Hobbies can't compete with them. For example, when two boxers fight, the strength and speed of the high-level side's jab are fiercer than the other side's, and the outcome is naturally clear at a glance.
Step 3 join forces
The resultant force is the combination of the opponent's ability to borrow the ball and his own strength. Using the opponent's strength and rotation, plus their own active strength and rotation, the two forces work together on table tennis to make it return the ball faster and more powerful. Generally speaking, hitting the ball with your own strength of 40% to 50%, plus the strength of the ball itself, can ensure a good return speed and quality.
4. Leverage
Borrowing power is mostly used for active defense, mainly in controlling racket shape, requiring hitting line and table rate.
5. Unloading force
Mostly used for short swings and short balls near the serve net. Rubber balls sometimes use the method of unloading force. There are also the force reducer and short suction commonly used by Marin, which are also the specific applications of force unloading.
Amateurs should add the usual batting strength training, and gradually improve their absolute batting strength, so as to improve the batting quality of each board and fundamentally improve their table tennis level.
