Naming is a technical job for ancient people, there are some names that seem interesting now, what are some very interesting names in history?

In ancient times, people's surnames mainly came from the worship of religion and heaven, and then derived from the oldest 22 surnames. Then slowly these 22 surnames began to produce countless branches, and now there are simply too many surnames.

And the most interesting names I think would be those of King Wu of Qin and the Duke of Zhou.

First, let's talk about the name of King Wu of Qin, the king of the Qin Dynasty, of course, was surnamed Ying, which is a very old surname, and it's actually a really good name for a king, such as the first emperor of Qin, Ying Zheng, and Ying Zheng's father, Ying Yiren. I think it's still a very nice name, and it fits my modern aesthetic.

But King Wu of Qin, he was called Ying Dang. Yes, you read that right, and I think we all know what that means. Not only is the name of Ying Dang very much not in line with my modern aesthetic, even the way he died makes me feel ridiculous. He didn't die in battle or from illness, he had to show his strength and then smashed himself to death when he lifted the tripod.

Of course, the name "Ying Dang" actually means "sweeping away the world", but with this "Ying", I really can't watch it anymore.

And then there's the Duke of Zhou. As the founder of Confucianism in China at the end of the Shang Dynasty and the beginning of the Zhou Dynasty, the Duke of Zhou is the one who said that the whole world would return to him. In fact, the Duke of Zhou was really great. His last name was Ji, and yes, you still read that right, it's a very old family name.

But the Duke of Zhou's name is Dan. Together they are eggs. Oh, sorry, I was wrong, it's Ji Dan. Actually Dan means sunrise, the sun. Still doesn't fit my modern aesthetic though. If his name was Li Dan I might even find it normal. Unfortunately, it's Ji Dan.

Actually, the ancients still had a very metaphorical name, but it's just that because of the last name, it's a bit inconsistent with our modern aesthetic.
