The determination of project management organizational structure is closely related to the choice of basic organizational structure, the division and determination of departments. The eight principles of traditional organizational design mainly include:

Goal principle: all organizations should have a goal;

With the development of social economy, people have a deeper understanding of organizational design. In order to meet the needs of today's society, management scientists have further put forward some new organizational design principles.

Mainly includes:

(1) Goal-oriented principle. This design idea is different from the traditional design idea. It designs and determines the organizational structure from the perspective of organizational goals, which emphasizes the work results and goals, rather than the work processing procedures and methods.

(2) The principle of integration and separation. When designing an organization, first emphasize the completion of the overall objectives and basic tasks of the organization; Then according to the basic composition or workflow of tasks and objectives, the corresponding organizational units are established; Finally, on the basis of division of labor, comprehensive coordination is carried out, so that all organizational units can achieve clear division of labor, mutual cooperation and ability cooperation, and complete the overall objectives and tasks.

(3) "Closed" design principle &; The exam is big&; . An organization is a system with specific goals and functions. To achieve this goal and function, it must be carried out in accordance with its necessary working procedures. (4) The principle of scope and hierarchy. According to the specific situation of different organizations, the reasonable and harmonious management scope and level are determined, and the matching between them is studied to ensure the organization to complete its goals and tasks efficiently and with high quality.

(5) The principle of elastic design. The adaptation of organizational structure to organizational goals and tasks is not eternal. In fact, organizational tasks, organizational decision-makers and personnel structure, organizational existence environment (such as competition, resource conditions, policy factors, etc. ) and other factors that affect the organizational structure are constantly changing. It takes a long time to establish and improve the organization, and the adjustment of the organization will lead to certain shocks, which will take a long time to restore the normal operation of all units in the organization. Therefore, when designing an organization, we should make it flexible and able to cope with the above changes without frequent organizational adjustments.

Neither the traditional organizational design principles nor the modern organizational design principles are absolutely unchangeable. In fact, there are some contradictions among the above principles. In the specific organizational structure design, we should analyze it according to the specific situation and use it flexibly.
