Instant Noodles (Instant noodles) Definition: also known as instant noodles. It is a simple fast food from Japan that combines traditional noodles and ramen with some cooking oil, which is dehydrated and turned into instant noodles. Instant noodles were very popular in Japan in the early 1990s.
On August 25, 1958, Momofuku Ando (1910 - 2007 formerly known as Momofuku Wu, a Japanese-Chinese), the founder of Nissin Foods, marketed the world's first bag of instant noodles - the bagged " Chicken Soup Ramen". Subsequently, Nissin gradually introduced instant noodles with seasonings packaged separately, and added cup instant noodles in 1971.
With only a cup of boiling water to fill your stomach, instant noodles quickly opened up Japan's domestic market with its cheap, tasty, convenient and long-preserving features. By the 1970s, when there was a pause in the growth of domestic consumption in Japan, Nissin Foods began to expand into overseas markets again, and the instant noodle business grew bigger and bigger.
Global sales of instant noodles amounted to about 97.9 billion packages in 2007, with an average consumption of 15 packages per person worldwide. The company forecasts that if consumption continues to grow, global sales of instant noodles are expected to double to 200 billion packets in 10 years. The largest consumer of instant noodles is currently China, followed by Indonesia, Japan and the United States.
