When making n-bromobutane, can sodium bromide be mixed with concentrated sulfuric acid before adding n-butanol and water? Why?

N-bromobutane is prepared by the reaction of n-butanol, sodium bromide and concentrated sulfuric acid. The mixed solution obtained by the reaction contains n-bromobutane, unreacted n-butanol and a small amount of bromine and sulfuric acid oxidized by concentrated sulfuric acid. The purpose of washing with water first is to remove excess sulfuric acid and butanol, and then wash bromine and a small amount of residual sulfuric acid with saturated sodium bicarbonate. Sulfuric acid reacts with sodium bicarbonate to release heat, so it can't be washed directly with sodium bicarbonate, so the reaction with sulfuric acid is too intense, and bubbles will flush out the liquid.
