The Core Concept of Taijiquan

Taijiquan's core concept is the Taiji, Yin-Yang dialectical concept.

Taijiquan is a kind of Chinese traditional boxing which is both internal and external, soft, slow, light, rigid and flexible, and is formed by combining the yin and yang and five elements of Yijing, the meridian theory of Chinese medicine and the ancient guiding and vomiting techniques, with the Taijiquan core concepts of traditional Chinese philosophy of Confucianism and Taoism.

Taijiquan contains the traditional Chinese philosophical thinking and health concepts of yin and yang circulation and the unity of heaven and man, which enriches people's cognition of the universe, nature and human body's operation laws. Taijiquan is based on the dialectical concepts of Taiji and yin and yang in the traditional Chinese philosophy of Confucianism and Taoism, and combines the functions of nourishing the temperament, strengthening the body and combating with the changes of yin and yang and the five elements of the I Chi-Shi.

Taijiquan is a kind of traditional Chinese boxing which is formed by the meridian science of traditional Chinese medicine, the ancient guiding art and the art of vomiting, and it is soft, slow, light, rigid and flexible at the same time. The main representatives of Taijiquan are Shi Chengzhi, Chen Zhenglei, Yang Zhenduo, Li Bingci, Sun Wanrong, Zhong Zhenshan, etc. After 1949, it was unified and adapted by the National Sports Commission as a gymnastic exercise for strengthening the body, performance, and athletic competition.

After China's reform and opening up, part of the original appearance was restored; thus, it was further divided into taijiquan for martial arts, taijiquan for gymnastic sports and taijiquan push hands. There are many schools of traditional taijiquan, and the common schools of taijiquan are Chen's, Yang's, Wu's, Wu's, Sun's, and He's, etc. Each school has its own inheritance relationship and learns from each other, and each has its own characteristics, which is a blossoming state.

Important theoretical works

Theoretical works formally published during this period, mainly the monographs of Chen Weiming, Xu Yusheng, Sun Lutang, Wu Jianquan, Chen Xin, etc. In the early 1820s, the use of photography began to take pictures of the action of photographic plates, leaving behind for posterity a treasure fee seasonal photographs, the prominent ones are Yang Chengfu, Wu Jianquan, Sun Lutang, Chen Fake's lifting posture photo.

Chen Xin's "Chen's Taijiquan Periphery", Yang Chengfu's "Body and Use of the Book", Sun Lutang's "Taijiquan Studies", etc., are the most important works. It is worth mentioning that Wu Yuxiang, Li Yishe and Wang Zongyue's theories on boxing are not formally published, but they are classics, which play an extremely important role in the development of Taijiquan and guide the development of Taijiquan.
