How many seasons are there in a year?

There are four seasons in a year, namely, spring, summer, autumn and winter.

All seasons are formed because the earth revolves around the sun. Due to the existence of the ecliptic angle, the direct point of the sun moves back and forth between the north and south latitudes of the earth for an annual change, which causes the seasonal change of the height of the sun at noon and the length of day and night, and the seasonal change of the amount of solar energy obtained by various places, thus forming the replacement of the four seasons.

The rotation of four seasons reflects the changing laws of phenology, climate and other aspects, such as spring, long summer, autumn harvest and winter storage. In the southern region of China (low latitude region), there is abundant precipitation, sufficient sunshine, humidity and small temperature difference between winter and summer, and the climatic factors such as sunshine and precipitation change obviously when the seasons change.

Geographical phenomenon:

China has a vast territory at low, middle and high latitudes. Low latitude generally refers to the spatial range between 3 degrees north and south latitude of the earth's surface, that is, the area within 3°N to 3°S, including tropical and subtropical heat zones, which is a zone where solar radiation and heat are concentrated in the world.

Mid-latitude is the latitude zone between 3 and 6 degrees north latitude, where the prevailing air masses at high and low latitudes overlap each other, with frequent cyclone activities and obvious temperature changes. High latitude refers to the area between the north and south latitude of 6 degrees and the north and south poles on the earth's surface, which is the weakest area on the earth's surface to receive solar radiation.

The southern part of China (low latitude area) is rainy, stormy, full of sunshine and high humidity, and these changes are obvious when the seasons change. In the northern region (mid-latitude region), there is little rain and storm, and the temperature changes obviously when the seasons change.
