I. Cao Chong

When Cao Chong was five or six years of age, he was as knowledgeable and judicious as an adult. Once, Sun Quan sent a huge elephant, Cao Cao wanted to know the weight of this elephant, and asked his subordinates about this matter, but none of them could tell the way to weigh the elephant. Cao Chong said, "Put the elephant on a large ship, mark the place where the water reaches, and then let the ship be loaded with other things, and weigh these, then by comparison you will know." Cao Cao was glad to hear this, and at once did accordingly.

Two: Kong Rong

When Kong Rong was four years old, he and his brothers ate pears together, and Kong Rong always took the smaller ones. An adult asked him why he did that. He replied, "I'm small for my age and small for my appetite, so it's logical that I should take the small one." Since Kong Rong was so smart and early, and knew such reasoning at a very young age, his clan relatives considered him a wizard.

Three, Sima Guang

On one occasion, Sima Guang was playing with his buddies in the backyard, when a child climbed up to play on the vat and lost his footing and fell into the water in the vat.

Fifth, Fang Zhongyong

When Zhongyong was five years old, he did not know how to write. Suddenly, one day, Zhongyong cried and asked for them. His father was surprised, so he borrowed them from a neighbor and gave them to him. Zhong Yong immediately wrote down four lines and inscribed his name himself.
