What model operas are there in China?

As we all know, stamps are the business cards of the country and also have the function of historical archives. The statement of "eight model operas" is related to this set of stamps. From May 9, 1967 to June 5, 1967, 18, eight model operas were staged in Beijing at the same time, and the publicity of model operas reached its peak. The more active revolutionary modern Peking Opera "Song of Longjiang" did not enter the "eight model operas", and the later revolutionary modern Peking Opera "Du Fushan" and "Battle on the Plain" did not belong to the "eight model operas".

Model opera is a special kind of drama produced in a special political environment, including modern Peking Opera, modern ballet and symphonic music, among which modern Peking Opera, traditional Peking Opera and new historical drama are three components of Beijing Opera. Therefore, modern Beijing opera and model opera are not exactly the same concept.
