Mom and dad are both healthy. Why do children have kt syndrome when they are born?

KT syndrome, sometimes called vascular and limb hypertrophy syndrome, is a rare congenital disease, which is characterized by a series of clinical manifestations caused by abnormal formation of blood vessels and/or lymphatic vessels. The three main clinical features include nevus flammeus (rosacea), venous and/or lymphatic malformations, and hypertrophy of the soft tissue of the affected limb.

KT syndrome is traditionally divided into the following types:

① Venous type-mainly venous abnormalities, including superficial varicose veins, venous tumors, deep venous valve insufficiency, absence of deep veins, etc.

② Arterial type-arteriovenous fistula type is mainly arteriovenous fistula with abnormal limbs; Including arterial obstruction, absence or abnormal hyperplasia;

③ Mixed type-but strictly speaking, only venous type belongs to true KT syndrome, while arterial type and mixed type belong to PW syndrome. Both of them have similar clinical manifestations and belong to vascular malformation, but their treatment principles are different.
