Lu Xufei (1908-1997), outstanding Chinese bird and flower painting and outstanding art educator. He was a native of Changshu, Jiangsu Province. After 1937, he changed his name to Yifei. After 1937, he changed his name to Zi Fei and called himself Fei Weng. In his old age, he was cured of his disease, and was also known as Su Sou. He was a professor and postgraduate tutor at the China Academy of Art, vice president of the Xiling Painting and Calligraphy Institute, honorary president of the Changshu Painting and Calligraphy Institute, and advisor to the Xiling Printing Society. He was also a member of the fourth and fifth sessions of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Zhejiang Province, and an advisor to the Chinese Peasants' and Workers' Democratic Party of Zhejiang.　　

Lu Zufei was known as Yuzhong (羽中), Zufei (抑非), alias Feiweng (非翁), and was known as Chonglan Cao Tang (崇兰草堂). In his early years, he studied in Suzhou Taohuawu Middle School, then dropped out of school due to illness, and learned bird and flower painting from Li Xishan. in early 1931, Zhu Qizhan introduced him to the Shanghai Fine Arts College as an assistant teacher, successively for fifteen years, and also in the Xinhua Art College, Suzhou Fine Arts College. in 1937, he held a solo exhibition in Shanghai, where he was able to view the ancient paintings collected by his brother, Sun Bo Yuan, and copied them under the instruction of Zhang Daqian. Later, he studied under Wu Hufan and participated in three exhibitions at the "Plum View Study Hall".

In 1956, he was appointed as one of the first batch of painters of Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy. In the early sixties, he was hired by President Pan Tianshou and has been a professor at the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts since then. He is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a painter of the Shanghai Painting Academy and the Zhejiang Painting Academy, a vice president of the Xiling Painting and Calligraphy Academy, an honorary president of the Changshu Painting and Calligraphy Academy, and a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Zhejiang Province. He specializes in bird and flower painting, especially peony. His works include Flower and Moon, Spring to the Countryside, and Peach of Longevity. He is the author of the book "Feiweng Painting Quotes".
