Taking Herbs
If there is no special medical advice, it is best to take the herb orally twice (morning and evening) or three times (morning, midday and evening) a day, with three times being somewhat more effective. The medicinal broth after three decoctions can still contain about 20% of the active ingredients. Taking it 3 times a day helps to maintain a certain level of drug concentration in the blood. Some drugs have a stimulating effect on the stomach and intestines, it is best to take half an hour to one hour after meals, or intermittent multiple doses after meals.
