The main mode of production in ancient Chinese society was the small peasant economy of "men plowing and women weaving".
Features:
(1) family as the basic unit of production and life, intensive cultivation;
(2) combination of agriculture and cottage industry (male cultivation and female weaving);
(3) natural economy of self-sufficiency:
