What are the characteristics of China's ancient mode of production

The main mode of production in ancient Chinese society was the small peasant economy of "men plowing and women weaving".

Features:

(1) family as the basic unit of production and life, intensive cultivation;

(2) combination of agriculture and cottage industry (male cultivation and female weaving);

(3) natural economy of self-sufficiency:

decentralized: one family individual production

closed: male cultivation and female weaving, self-sufficiency, little exchange.

Backwardness: focus on intensive farming, relatively simple production tools, long-term unchanged production technology and easily satisfied social psychological state, hindering technological progress and production development.

Vulnerability: lack of necessary accumulation and reserve capacity, low resistance to natural disasters.
