History of Chaoyang Park in Changchun
Chaoyang Park was founded on 1934. It was planned and established during the Manchukuo period. Because it is adjacent to Shuntian Street (now Xinmin Street), it is called Shuntian Park, and it is marked by a stone tablet. The concrete bridge and concrete spillway built at that time are still in use today. During the reign of the National Government, Suijie Road was renamed as "Civil Rights Park", later renamed as "Xinmin Park" after 1949, and later renamed as "Chaoyang Park", and was renovated and opened in 1980.
