Rules of diving competition

According to the direction and structure of take-off, diving can be divided into five groups: forward, backward, inward, reflexive and twist. Each group has prescribed movements and optional movements, and each movement has a different difficulty coefficient. According to the air posture of diving, it can be divided into four types: A (straight body), B (bent body), C (tuck) and D (somersault and twist).

Main rules:

1, the men's event carries out 6 movements, and there can be no repeated movements; The women's event carries out 5 movements, and there can be no repeated movements;

2. The women's springboard competition includes five movements in different groups, and there are six movements in men, five of which are from different groups, and other 1 movements can be selected from five groups;

3. Men's and women's platform movements are selected from six different groups, and there is no difficulty coefficient limit;

4. The athletes in the synchronized diving competition must come from the same association and have the same movements. The women's competition consists of five movements, of which the average difficulty coefficient of two rounds is 2.0, and the other three rounds have no difficulty coefficient limit; There are six movements in the men's competition, in which the average difficulty coefficient of two rounds is 2.0, and the other four rounds have no difficulty coefficient limit;

5. The five movements of women's doubles must come from at least four different groups, and at least 1 movement takes off forward; The six movements in men's competition come from at least four different groups, and at least 1 movement takes off forward. In these six actions, no more than two actions from the same group can be taken.

6. The age of the contestants shall not be less than 14 years old (before the competition year of 65438+February 3 1).

7. The competition is divided into three rounds: preliminaries, semi-finals and finals. Before the preliminaries 18 people entered the semi-finals. Before the semi-final, 12 people entered the final. The results of preliminaries and semi-finals will not be carried into the next round. If there is a draw of 18 in the preliminaries and a draw of 12 in the semi-finals, the tied players can participate in the next round.

8. There is no preliminaries in the Olympic Games, but the finals are held directly, and the order of appearance is randomly decided by the computer.

In diving competition, there are usually seven referees who are responsible for scoring. The referees score according to the athletes' run-up (that is, walking board and platform), take-off, aerial movements and diving movements. Therefore, athletes should run smoothly in the competition, take off decisively and forcefully, and take off at an appropriate angle with a certain height; Beautiful posture in the air, rolling and turning quickly; When people swim, their bodies are perpendicular to the water, and the smaller the splash, the better. A duet usually has nine judges, four judges judge the performance of a single player, and the other five judges judge the consistency of the actions of two players-whether the take-off height and distance are the same, and so on.

After the Olympic Games, like other events, the rules of diving competition will be adjusted. According to the relevant person of BOCOG Sports Department, the new regulations treat all the preliminaries, semi-finals and finals as independent competitions, and the results of all the players start from scratch, so the results of the semi-finals will no longer be brought into the finals. For diving, this is really an earth-shaking change, because it means that it is impossible for any player to eat the "capital" of the semi-finals. All the finalists are actually standing on the same starting line for the final championship. According to FINA Diving Technical Committee, the purpose of this reform is to make the competition more exciting and suspenseful. Objectively speaking, after the implementation of this rule, the intensity of the preliminaries, especially the semi-finals, may be affected to some extent, because under the premise of ensuring the entry into the finals, everyone may instinctively "let go", thus ensuring more energy to be devoted to the final finals. For the audience, it is undoubtedly a welcome thing to see more fierce competition scenes in the final.

Another important content of this reform is that the score of seven referees is only 3 points-the traditional scoring method of removing one highest score and one lowest score has been replaced by "removing two highest scores and two lowest scores". Obviously, this weakening of the referee's scoring efficiency is a great progress to ensure the fairness of the game. After all, with this "rule of the game", it is not so easy for one or two referees to deliberately raise or suppress a player's score.
