Reflections on how to effectively arrange Chinese homework
a surname
abstract:
In primary school, Chinese homework is often copied and mechanically repeated. Students' interest in learning Chinese is not strong, but it weakens their enthusiasm for learning. Therefore, our Chinese teachers should aim at improving students' interest in learning, expanding their knowledge horizons and cultivating their ability to use Chinese. We should arrange homework reasonably and effectively according to students' reality, pay more attention to cultivating students' listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities, and let students grow their talents in practice. I think learning Chinese is a very useful and interesting thing. By not knowing some practical and operational homework, students are encouraged to actively explore, tap their creative potential, develop their multiple intelligences, and let them gain a successful experience in the process of learning, which also opens up a new way for our Chinese teaching and cultivating their innovative spirit.

Text:
"Open people are open, and little people do their homework. Business women don't know how to hate their country and do their homework all day. Looking up, I found it was moonlight and bowed my head to do my homework. If relatives and friends in Luoyang ask each other, tell them I'm doing my homework. Young people don't work hard, but the boss does his homework. I sat up critically ill and didn't do my homework today. Looking for him in the crowd, I suddenly turned around and that person was doing his homework. "
I couldn't help laughing when I read this passage in a magazine in my spare time. Although a little funny, it does show the difficulties of children now! As a teacher and a parent, I can't help thinking deeply about this problem.
As teachers, we don't want to assign so much homework, but we always have to find some copying tasks to deal with "homework". Some texts, sentences and words have been copied repeatedly. Students are tired of copying and teachers are tired of arranging, but they still have to arrange because they have to explain to their parents! If there is no homework to write, some parents will call and ask, "Teacher, why didn't you assign homework today?" For parents and children, reading or retelling texts, consulting materials and so on are not homework at all. Chinese homework has become a burden for teachers and parents. After school, the teachers in the same grade in the office are discussing: "What to copy today?" On the way after school, the students were all talking: "Why did you copy these things again?"
This situation has brought a new topic to "effective teaching": what should Chinese homework be arranged? What problems should be paid attention to in effective Chinese homework arrangement?
In view of this problem, I have paid serious attention to and reflected on it, and summarized some phenomena existing in Chinese teachers' homework at present:
1. The survey found that many Chinese teachers in primary schools hold the old adage that "practice makes perfect", leaving endless homework for overwhelmed primary school students, thinking that only endless homework can make students master knowledge. So it is enough for students to master more than 2000 Chinese characters in primary schools now.
2, a Chinese character to write dozens of times, this is an extremely boring homework, so students are enough to have resistance to Chinese classes, coupled with those provisions and paragraphs that let students memorize, causing great psychological burden to children, and even a reminder to children.
3. Unreasonable distribution is also one of them. Chinese homework is really difficult to arrange, too simple to consolidate and improve, and it is too difficult for students to start. Therefore, teachers either mechanically ask students to copy new words or do the topics that teachers have talked about after class, so there is a phenomenon that students do Chinese homework without thinking.
I used to believe in the idea of "learning from time to time", "writing with words and punching with fists" and "having a good memory is not as good as writing". When assigning homework, we always emphasize "practice more" and advocate "the more the better". I have to do the same exercise at least three or four times, and I have to copy the same new words at least three or four times before I can rest assured. The actual results are: some students increasingly regard Chinese homework as a kind of mechanical labor imposed by teachers, which is annoying; Some students are not interested in learning Chinese. Although I spent a lot of time, my academic performance didn't improve. The facts have taught me a profound lesson and made me seriously reflect on my own practice. With the deepening of the new curriculum teaching reform concept, I gradually abandoned the old teaching concept. More and more attention has been paid to the scientific and effective arrangement of students' Chinese homework.
After continuous teaching practice, my personal view is:
1, with clear purpose. When I assign homework, I pay attention to careful screening, pay more attention to students' usual homework and actual teaching, find out the existing problems in time, and find out the mistakes that students are prone to make or the contents that must be firmly remembered. This is the focus of training. Secondly, the task and purpose are clear. I make appropriate adjustments and supplements to the content of my homework to achieve the purpose of training and avoid being too complicated. Let the students understand "why do you want to do your homework?" At the same time, I also want to know myself "why should I assign homework?" What kind of homework do students assign? "That is, what kind of homework is arranged, what kind of purpose is achieved or what kind of result is achieved. And through the inspection of homework, verify whether the expected purpose is achieved, and then adjust your own ideas of arranging homework. Some contents can be consolidated for a long time, forgotten by scientific methods, and cannot be piled up too much at one time. On the contrary, "haste makes waste" can only get twice the result with half the effort. Third, the situation of students should be clear. Fully understand the age characteristics and basic abilities of students, and be more purposeful when assigning homework.
2. increase interest. Traditional homework is monotonous and boring, and the content of homework lacks interest, which makes it difficult to stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning. Therefore, when I design my homework, I try my best to be creative, the form of homework is novel, the content of homework is close to the reality of life, and it is interesting to some extent, so that students can experience the success of seeking knowledge and increase their talents in a pleasant environment.
For example, after the lesson of "God Bird", I arranged for students to repeat the text to their families and continue to make up stories. The students readily accept and are willing to finish such homework. While training students' oral ability, it also achieves the teaching purpose of cultivating imagination and writing.
3. It varies from person to person. For example, I allow students to keep a diary, write composition fragments, extract beautiful words from extracurricular reading materials, practice calligraphy writing, or read useful extracurricular books according to their actual situation. Homework is no longer limited to just writing. You can read useful extracurricular books and take your favorite reading notes in your favorite way. Students are interested, learning is effective, and students' enthusiasm for learning Chinese is unprecedented. Children will not regard homework as a heavy "burden". For example, I read books with my parents, read an article and exchange stories with my parents ... This kind of homework gives students the opportunity to express themselves and develop themselves. The image of the painting is interesting, the recitation is cadence and profound.
4. Practical exploration. Modern educational concept advocates students to actively explore and cultivate the ability to analyze and solve problems. In optimizing homework design, I try my best to create practical opportunities for students, arouse students to consciously use knowledge to analyze and solve practical problems, cultivate students' practical ability and innovative spirit, make students understand the concept of "knowledge comes from life and serves life" well, effectively improve students' individual cultural literacy, and enable students to gain successful experiences in the learning process and truly become people with sound personality development. For example, on weekends, I assign such homework-I let students go into nature, participate in social practice, social investigation and community service during holidays, gain knowledge from life and practice, and cultivate their abilities.
For example, after teaching the "Satellite Contest", in order to better expand and enrich the students' knowledge, I divided the students into several groups to assign homework.
A. Data collection group: Collect satellite-related information, enrich the text content, and make readers know more about satellite-related information.
B. Eco-environmental protection group: investigate the protection of the surrounding environment of their own lives and put forward suggestions on ecological protection.
C. resource exploration group: search for relevant information to understand the relationship between the development of earth resources and sustainable development.
D. Space Exploration Group: Learn about the planets around the earth and learn some scientific knowledge closely related to our lives.
E. Good sentence comment group: comprehend the content of the text, comment on the sentences in the text, understand the function of key sentences, and understand the characteristics of key expressions in the text according to facts.
Facts have proved that on the basis of the operation of each group, children actively participate in and hold exhibitions. The students collected a lot of information about satellites, other planets and environmental protection, with words and pictures, comprehensive data, informative information, novel ideas, strange ideas and wonderful language. There are many unexpected problems in the classroom and they have received unexpected results. Students listen and speak during the whole activity, and their thinking is active, which broadens their knowledge and deepens their understanding of the text.
5. Close to life. "Life is education", and Chinese is fundamentally closely related to life. As an extension of classroom teaching, Chinese homework should not be limited to textbooks. For example, I ask students to listen to and watch more news programs on radio and TV stations and record the news they are most concerned about; Watch cartoons, learn to write short fairy tales and science fiction story; Observe a certain phenomenon in nature and keep an observation diary; Understand the performance and use of a product, learn to write product specifications, advertising language, etc. Students are novel and gain knowledge that can't be learned in textbooks.
After learning Mulan Class 1, I saw that many students were interested in the script, so I arranged for them to go back and learn to write the script by themselves, so that the children could design their own plots, create their own situations and be directors themselves. The content can be science fiction, time travel, imagination and reality ... as long as the stories in their hearts shine on their own stage. When correcting homework, I am not too strict, as long as I write a story according to a simple script, which meets the basic requirements of the script and is ideological and educational. I approve "what a good screenwriter!" At the back of their homework. "Imagination is rich!" "There is a screenwriter style!" The children are very happy, as if they were a famous screenwriter. ...
I thought: Who knows if one or two of them will be a good screenwriter when they grow up? Even if you don't take the road of screenwriter, at least, in the eyes of children, such homework is really fun! Do it as you like! That's enough.
6. Develop special skills. In the long run, cultivating children's skills is more conducive to their growth than studying hard. I often let students read extracurricular books, make exquisite reading notes and make handwritten newspapers by themselves; Recite ancient poems that have not been learned, and hold poetry reading meetings in class; Practice calligraphy and show calligraphy works; Collect famous sayings, two-part allegorical sayings, proverbs, Spring Festival couplets and folk stories, and exchange them in class; Take to the streets, correct the typos on both sides of the street, and so on. Through such homework, students' listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities are cultivated, their talents are increased in practice, and students feel that learning Chinese is a very useful and interesting thing. For example, after teaching Zuo, I asked my classmates who like painting to combine their own specialties and draw some pictures of Zuo in your impression. Please choose your favorite paragraph to read the recording. Please ask the students who like to create, let them think about what kind of harsh environment Zuo may be fighting against natural disasters tenaciously.
In a word, I think the arrangement and design of homework should be based on students' learning content and step by step, so as to avoid too many complicated things, reduce students' interest in learning and affect their development. We should not only take different teaching measures according to students' learning ability, but also create some flexibility to develop students' personality. Through excellent Chinese homework design, students' learning enthusiasm is stimulated, and they want to learn, love learning and enjoy learning. As long as we recognize the role of homework, constantly enrich the form of homework, strengthen the comprehensiveness of homework, and let homework enter life and society, I believe that Chinese homework will definitely become an accelerator to promote children's healthy growth.
Practice has proved that I am deeply gratified when correcting these assignments designed by myself. Through the children's homework answers, I saw their gains and their colorful future. ...
I think: take students' homework seriously, try my best to create more and broader world for children, give them a pair of happy wings and let them soar in the sky of knowledge. Only in this way can I live up to my conscience and the title of "People's Teacher".
