There are three systems of calligraphy level exams, one is the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Level Exam Calligraphy Exam hosted by the Beijing Education Examination Institute, one is the Calligraphy Level Exam hosted by the Ministry of Culture's Art Development Center, and the other is the Social Calligraphy Level Exam hosted by the Calligraphy Artists' Association, with the first one approved by the education department, and the latter one approved by the Ministry of Culture.
