Opportunities and challenges of new automotive materials under the goal of "double carbon"-the general trend of replacing traditional materials
At present, automobile body materials can be roughly divided into two categories. The first category is metal materials, including heavy metal materials such as steel plate and cast iron, light metals such as aluminum, magnesium and titanium, alloy materials and foam metals. The second category is nonmetallic materials, including engineering plastics, fibers, resins, glass, rubber, nonmetallic foam materials and nonmetallic composite materials. With the development of automobile technology, composite materials and nano-materials will be widely used in future automobile materials.
Under the global trend of energy conservation and environmental protection, the use of automotive materials is also developing in the direction of light weight-more environmental protection, lower VOC-healthier, less odor-more comfortable.
First of all, when the pressure of automobile fuel consumption is getting closer and closer, and the shortcomings of cruising range need to be filled urgently, lightweight that can alleviate these two pressures has gradually become an important label for new cars. Although automobile lightweight is mainly composed of structural lightweight design and material lightweight, it mainly depends on material lightweight at present, so automobile companies and parts companies pay more attention to the development and application of lightweight materials. In the technical roadmap of energy-saving and new energy vehicles, the application of lightweight materials is listed as one of the important technical paths of lightweight.
Secondly, in the aspect of environmental protection, low VOC materials are strictly controlled from the aspects of molecular design, polymerization process and processing technology, which greatly reduces the small molecules that are easy to emit in the materials, makes the materials more stable and less volatile, and meets the requirements of low VOC. In automobile interior, many parts will use low VOC materials, such as central control panel, door panel and gear cover. Therefore, low VOC materials have played a certain role in ensuring the life and health of drivers and passengers.
After years of rapid growth, China automobile industry is entering a new period of industrial transformation and technological upgrading. Driven by the "double integral" regulation and the new energy automobile industry policy, automobile materials have also ushered in new development opportunities. The traditional steel-based automobile material structure is developing towards the trend of mixed application of steel-aluminum body, plastic composite material and magnesium alloy.
In recent years, automobile materials represented by body panels and body frames are undergoing a profound change. The proportion of non-ferrous metals and their alloys, powder metals and composite materials in automobiles has increased rapidly, and there has been a trend that new materials will transition from simple parts to complex structural parts and gradually replace traditional materials. The use of new materials not only helps to improve the technical performance of automobiles, but also makes it possible to realize many new designs and technologies in industrial production.
However, in the development of new automotive materials, there are many factors that restrict their large-scale application, among which cost and price bear the brunt, and technological progress cannot be achieved overnight. So, how can we solve these problems?
The 2002 10/China Automobile Supply Chain Conference, which will be held in Chongqing on June10 and June 16, will specially set up the theme forum of "New Trends of Automobile Materials", inviting experts, scholars and enterprise executives to discuss the new trends and technological development trends of automobile materials around the high-quality development of automobile industry, aiming at promoting the integration, innovation and development of automobile materials industry.
The theme forum of "New Trends in Automotive Materials" will be held on the morning of the second day of the conference, namely, 65438+1October 65438+June, with Yu Muhuo, a professor at Donghua University and deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Fiber Material Modification, as the moderator. At that time, academicians Jiang Shicheng and Ding Wenjiang of China Academy of Engineering will give speeches on "High-performance fiber and its application in automobile lightweight" and "Development status and trend of automobile light alloy" respectively.
This theme forum will discuss the technological innovation of traditional materials and the technological breakthrough of new materials. Professor Zhang Liqun, Vice President of beijing university of chemical technology, will give a keynote speech on "Development Status and Trend of Green Low-carbon Rubber Materials for Next Generation Tires", and Professor Yu Muhuo will also give a keynote speech on "Key Technology Progress of Carbon Fiber Composites in Production Cars" as the moderator. Xiao Peng, a professor at Central South University and chairman of Hunan Shixin New Materials Co., Ltd., delivered a speech entitled "Development, product standards and test methods of carbon ceramic composite brake discs for passenger cars"; Zhou, director of Global Innovation Center for Automotive Materials of Blonde Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on "Development Trend of Automotive Modified Plastics under the New Situation"; Xiong Fen, manager of nonmetallic materials room of quality verification center of technical center of Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd., will analyze "the development and application of automotive materials technology under the background of double carbon" from the perspective of vehicle enterprises.
Facing the opportunities and challenges of new materials in the high-quality development of automobiles in China, the theme forum also arranged a round-table dialogue, and invited Jiang Haiyan, a researcher at Shanghai Jiaotong University and deputy director of the National Engineering Research Center for Precision Forming of Light Alloys, Yin Jianwei, system manager of passenger car branch of SAIC, and Mr. Yang, deputy general manager of Kaisheng Technology Group Co., Ltd., Gao Xiaoyan, the head of automobile business of Trina Solar Energy Co., Ltd., Xiong Fen, Zhou and other experts and scholars gathered together with representatives of automobile and parts enterprises to brainstorm and collide ideas around the application and prospects of new materials such as carbon fiber composite materials, light alloys, high-strength steel, engineering plastics, battery materials and hydrogen energy materials.
1June16th, I came to the 20021China Automobile Supply Chain Conference to pay attention to the theme forum of "New Trends in Automobile Materials", and the dry goods were full, which definitely disappointed the insiders.
