Tea ceremony tea set placement

The placement of tea utensils for a tea ceremony is very important, as they reflect the taste and attitude of the host. In the traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, the tea utensils are usually arranged in the following way:

1. In the center of the tea ceremony room is the tea bowl setter (tea bowl) and the tea kettle. This is the most important area of the tea ceremony room and the centerpiece of the tea ceremony. The location of the tea bowl is usually on a four and a half sized tea ceremony room, it should be placed in the center of the room, parallel to the floor.

2. The tea stove (oven) should be placed on the right side of the tea room, opposite the tea bowl stove, in a position directly opposite the door of the room. Tea stove is one of the most important furnishings in the tea ceremony, because it represents the owner's heart and respect for the guests. The design and position of the stove is very important, it should form a perfect symmetry with the tea bowl stove.

3. Tea ladles, tea brushes and tea spoons should be placed to the left of the tea bowl burner, with a tea bowl to the left of the burner. These tea utensils are usually placed on a flat wooden tray to be used.

4. Decorative items such as screens, vases, and wall hangings are also placed in the corners of the tea ceremony room and on the tables. These decorations are to add beauty and atmosphere to the interior space.
