Problems of Chinese and western medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine is divided into traditional Chinese medicine and modern Chinese medicine.

Modern Chinese medicine is called plant medicine in Europe. The famous aspirin comes from salicylic acid, which is separated and refined from willow, but it does great damage to biological resources. Humans have synthesized aspirin through simple chemical reagents, and plants are no longer needed.

Generally speaking, western medicine is synthesized by chemical industry, but many inventions of western medicine are related to plant medicine (or traditional Chinese medicine), such as berberine (western medicine name berberine hydrochloride), colchicine, camptothecin, paclitaxel and other famous anti-tumor drugs, which can be directly or partially synthesized.

Taxol cannot be synthesized without plants such as Taxus chinensis, so there is a shortage of Taxus chinensis resources in the world. This plant is only available in China, but the technology in China is not as good as that abroad. They are all medicinal materials or crude extracts sold abroad at low prices, and then bought back at high prices when they are made abroad.

The basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine is different from that of western medicine. In addition to Yin-Yang and Five Elements, the compatibility of various medicinal materials is very important, and comprehensive conditioning, such as toothache, is also emphasized. Chinese medicine can not only treat teeth, but also treat liver at the same time, because liver fire is strong.

Sweating is not a disease of western medicine, there is no way to treat it. Sweating in traditional Chinese medicine includes spontaneous sweating and night sweats, and the treatment is different. Chinese medicine also has hot colds and cold colds, and western medicine thinks it is bacterial and viral infection, and so on.

Because the ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine are too complicated, the theory is illusory, there is no judgment standard, few people can really master traditional Chinese medicine, and the curative effects of the drugs prescribed vary widely, so the credibility is extremely high at present.
