What traditional architecture does Korea have?
Insadong is a traditional Korean cultural and commercial street, but it retains its original charm. Come and walk around to fully experience the market atmosphere here. In my memory, some shops still exist, while some small shops have been updated and replaced. Walking among the streets, they feel familiar and fresh.
Ssamzie can be said to be Insa-dong within Insa-dong. Many traditional Korean artworks and modern crafts are gathered here. You can also taste Korean representative delicacies such as Jeonju bibimbap, Korean beef, mung bean pancakes, and traditional Korean tea.

Bukchon Hanok
Bukchon refers to the area between Jae-dong, Gahoe-dong, Samcheong-dong, and Wonseo-dong between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace. It used to be the place where princes, nobles or high-ranking officials lived during the Joseon Dynasty. Because it is located next to Jonggak Palace The northern part is called Bukchon. Bukchon Hanok Village combines the past and the present. Different from the lively and fashionable Samcheong-dong, Bukchon Hanok Village is more antique and quiet.
Bukchon is also a great place to take photos wearing traditional Korean clothes~
The cluster of Hanok buildings located in Jae-dong, Gahoe-dong, and Wonseo-dong are the biggest attractions of Bukchon Hanok Village. In addition, various museums, workshops and handicraft shops that highlight traditional characteristics are dotted here, giving Hanok more functions besides visiting. Wandering through the alleys, which may be wide or narrow, you can see the unique and authentic life atmosphere of Seoul. This is also the most touching part of Bukchon Hanok Village.
There are many alleys here, all connected like a maze. There are many museums, painting galleries, traditional teahouses, and traditional crafts in the village. Unfortunately, some of the doors are closed and visitors are prohibited from visiting. There are also some that can be visited for an additional fee. Walk quietly in the village, capture every corner with your camera, and appreciate the traditional Korean beauty of the rooftops here.
