Lighting Festival Introduction

Zigong Lighting Festival is a local traditional folklore in Zigong City, Sichuan Province, and one of the national intangible cultural heritages. As early as in the Tang and Song dynasties, Zigong region has the custom of New Year's lantern viewing. To the early 20th century, and gradually formed a festival of lanterns, lanterns, lanterns and dragon dance and other activities, and gradually developed into a collection of folk style, folklore of the Southwest region of the Lantern Festival.
