About the ancient buildings in Chongqing
Located in Xuetianwan, Renmin Road, Chongqing, it broke ground in June 195 1 and was completed in April 1954. It is an antique national building complex and one of the unique landmark buildings in Chongqing. ?
The whole building consists of an auditorium and three buildings, east, south and north. It covers a total area of 66,000 square meters, including auditorium area 1.85 million square meters. The auditorium building is 65 meters high, the clearance height of the hall is 55 meters, and the inner diameter is 46.33 meters. The rotunda is surrounded by five floors and can accommodate more than 4,200 people. ?
The Great Hall of the People adopts the traditional architectural form with symmetrical central axis, with colonnades and wings, and the tail of the tower is symmetrical with the facade. The Great Hall of the People looks like an enlarged Temple of Heaven in Beijing, with green glazed tile roofs, red colonnades, white railings, double-eaved arches and carved beams, which are colorful and magnificent. The architecture imitates the Temple of Heaven, meaning to pray for "the country is rich and strong, and the people are safe".
