The Background of Traditional Education Reform

Facing the new situation of "science and technology are advancing by leaps and bounds, knowledge economy is rising, and national strength competition is becoming increasingly fierce" at the turn of the century, due to various reasons, our educational concept, educational system, educational structure, talent training mode, educational content and teaching methods are all relatively backward, which affects the all-round development of young people and cannot meet the needs of improving national quality. Therefore, in June 1999, the third national conference on education work since the reform and opening up was held, and the Decision of Central the State Council on Deepening Education Reform and Promoting Quality Education in an All-round Way was promulgated, which clearly put forward the strategic idea of "comprehensively promoting quality education and cultivating new socialist people to meet the needs of modernization in 2 1 century" and pointed out that the purpose of deepening education reform is to implement quality education.
