The Origin, Characteristics and Formation of Fujian Opera in Fuzhou
Fujian Opera, which originated in Fuzhou, is a multi-voice opera which is a combination of Confucianism in the late Ming Dynasty, Pingjiang Opera in the early Qing Dynasty and Jianghu Opera in the late Qing Dynasty (Guangxu to Xuan Tong). Commonly known as "the first three symphonies", it is called "Rongqiang" or "Fujian Opera".
The aria tunes of Fujian Opera can be divided into four categories: funny tunes, silly songs, Jianghu tunes and minor tunes, as well as some aria and qupai absorbed from Lao Lao. There are 15 classes in the funny cavity, which is characterized by "hey?" At the turning point and the end point. Cavity, including "wide board" and "emergency board", the original background voice helped to harmonize (called "piggyback sound"), and later some changed to drag the cavity by themselves (called "piggyback sound"), or used a small suona to beat part of the cavity as a door, as well as "dripping" and "splashing", all of which were absorbed.
