How to Cultivate Students' Interest in Learning Ancient Poetry

Ancient poetry is a bright pearl in the excellent culture of the Chinese nation, which shines brilliantly in the history of China literature and occupies an important position. Those excellent ancient poems have great vitality and have been passed down to this day for thousands of years.

It is said that in the Tang Dynasty, reading and reciting poems was an enlightenment education for children and a compulsory course for children. This shows the importance of learning ancient poetry. It is of great significance to develop children's imagination and aesthetic ability. Therefore, in addition to some selected articles in Chinese textbooks for primary schools, Chinese Curriculum Standards also selected 80 excellent ancient poems for primary school students and asked them to recite them. Not only that, but also students are required to improve their appreciation ability and aesthetic taste on the basis of accumulation, perception and application. However, nowadays, primary school students have entered the network age, and they are exposed to many new things, and they are somewhat unfamiliar with traditional cultures such as ancient poems. It is really not easy for them to recite a lot of ancient poems, to feel, to imagine and to use them. Some students even avoid studying ancient poetry. I think that if students really like and learn ancient poetry, they should first pay attention to cultivating their interest in learning ancient poetry, because interest is the best teacher. Therefore, in the usual teaching practice, I keep learning, trying and learning to stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning. I think we can practice from the following aspects.

First, use flexible teaching methods to arouse students' enthusiasm.

Zankov believes: "Once the teaching method touches the students' emotional and will fields and touches the students' spiritual needs, this teaching method can play an efficient role." Therefore, in the teaching of ancient poetry, I actively study teaching methods and cultivate students' interest in learning ancient poetry with effective methods.

1. Start with the lead-in link to stimulate students' interest in learning. Vivid and interesting introduction can enliven students' thinking and stimulate their curiosity. A good beginning is half the battle, so when learning ancient poetry, we should pay special attention to the use of the introduction.

2. Understand the poet's related stories and add color to the study of ancient poetry. Students love to listen to the teacher's stories, but they know little about the stories of ancient poets and are very interested. When I was studying the poem To Wang Lun, I told the students about the acquaintance of the poet Li Bai and Wang Lun. The story is humorous and vivid, and the students are fascinated by it. They praised Wang Lun's wisdom from time to time, which laid a good foundation for learning this poem. The students are full of interest in learning.

3. Play the role of stick figure to attract students' interest visually. Painting is children's nature, they have a strong interest in painting, and their understanding of ancient poetry is also of great benefit. Therefore, students can properly match pictures when studying, which can mobilize students' senses, activate students' thinking and stimulate students' interest in learning. When studying Zhang's "Fishing Song", the students cooperated to draw pictures on the blackboard according to their understanding of the lyrics, and drew green hills, egrets, peach blossoms, flowing water, mandarin fish, cuckoos and coir in different colors ... This is a beautiful landscape painting with vivid colors and distant artistic conception, reflecting the poet's leisurely life.

4. Arrange short plays to stimulate students' interest in learning through performances. Some ancient poems are very suitable for performance, and the story line is very vivid. Story performance can make the study of ancient poetry more interesting and give full play to students' imagination. When learning the poem "Children Fishing", I asked the students to act out the scene in groups. The students carefully ponder over the poems, grasp the personality characteristics of the characters, and vividly show the image of the little boy in the poems as naive, childlike, lively and lovely. At the same time, they also firmly left this poem in their memory.

5. Sing ancient poems, simplify the complex and stimulate interest. Before teaching ancient poetry, students always strengthened their understanding of poetry, silently read poetry and copied poetry, which made them uninterested. Therefore, they are getting tired of it. On the basis of reading aloud, students can match ancient poems with melodies and turn them into songs, which students are very happy to accept. The poem "Early Birth City" is a seven-character quatrain. I found a seven-character song-"Little Crow Loves Mom" in a student's music book. This song is very nice. According to the melody of this song, the poem "Born Early in the City" was changed, so that students can sing when they open their mouths, and it is easy and pleasant to learn, which not only deepens their memories, but also reduces the burden on students. This learning method quickly became popular among students. Wonderful and interesting learning methods have greatly stimulated students' interest in learning.

Second, teachers encourage and stimulate interest

1. The teacher encourages students to accumulate more ancient poems in peacetime and learn to use them in the process of understanding and accumulation. For example, if a student can say an ancient poem in an appropriate language environment, he should give the student praise, which is not only an affirmation of himself, but also can drive other students to learn. Quote an ancient poem appropriately in students' diaries and compositions, and praise it in front of the whole class to give students a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Teachers set an example by using ancient poems to express their feelings as much as possible. For example, in front of students, I often use the phrase "Young people don't work hard, but old people are sad". Encourage children to cherish time and study hard; Use "however, China holds our friendship, and heaven remains our neighbourhood" to express deep affection for friends; Express the feelings of spring outing with "boundless scenery for a while"; Use "Loud my song, deep my drink" to describe the excited and happy mood, and use "a bright future and another village" to describe the unexpected surprise. Let students be influenced imperceptibly, feel the charm of ancient poetry in expression, and thus have a strong desire to learn.

Third, break the limitations of learning ancient poetry and extend it from in-class to out-of-class

1, small class, big stage of life. Learning ancient poetry can't be confined to the classroom, but also extended to extracurricular activities. CCTV's Lecture Room featured some classic poems. The professors' explanations are lively, interesting and colorful, which is very suitable for students to watch and provides them with a good learning platform, which can greatly arouse their enthusiasm for learning. 2. Teachers can also fully mobilize the enthusiasm of parents, so that parents and students can collect and accumulate ancient poems together, learn their feelings together, and launch a family ancient poetry contest to stimulate children's interest in learning.

Fourth, carry out colorful extracurricular activities.

Carrying out rich extracurricular activities can further arouse students' learning enthusiasm. Students have accumulated a lot of ancient poems, and we should provide them with a platform for full display. You can carry out ancient poetry memory competition, ancient poetry classification competition, ancient poetry singing competition, ancient poetry application competition and so on. These activities can greatly arouse students' enthusiasm for learning. They are interested in collecting, sorting out and cooperating with each other, which can be described as "no need to push themselves" and their interest is very high.

Ancient poetry is a treasure in China literature and art, which allows students to wander in the ocean of poetry and feel the beauty, profound connotation and lofty artistic conception of poetry. Inheriting the excellent traditional culture of the motherland is the unshirkable responsibility of our Chinese teachers. Let's use scientific and effective methods to stimulate students' interest in learning, so that students can really love ancient poetry, walk into it and feel its unique charm.
