The Significance of the First National Minority Traditional Sports Meeting

Since then, this event, which focuses on traditional sports of ethnic minorities, has been held every four years. 395 athletes from Manchu, Mongolian, Hui, Tibetan, Miao, Korean, Naxi and Han nationalities participated in the national sports performances and competitions. They come from nine units including North China, Northeast China, Northwest China, Central South China, Southwest China (including Tibet), Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, People's Liberation Army and Railway System.
