What is "five ethics" and what does it mean?
2. The ancients called father and son, monarch and minister, husband and wife, brothers and friends "five relationships". Ethics is the moral relationship between people. Mencius believed that the father and son are close relatives, the monarch and the minister are polite, the husband and wife love each other but there are differences inside and outside, the old and the young have the order of respect, and the friends have the virtue of integrity. This is the principle and code of conduct for dealing with interpersonal relationships. Mencius said in Teng Wengong's book that envoys are a place to teach human relations. Father and son are close, monarch and minister are righteous, husband and wife are different, children are orderly, and friends are trustworthy. Both sides of interpersonal relationship should abide by certain rules. I should be loyal and respectful; Fathers should be kind and sons should be filial; The husband should be outside the Lord and the wife should be in the Lord. Brothers should take care of brothers, and brothers should respect brothers; Friends should be loyal.
