Essay about root carving artwork

After the exam, I felt relaxed. On the afternoon of the 19th, my mother and I went to visit the "Wugang City Strange Stone Root Sculpture Exhibition".

The exhibition is located on the left side of the Cultural Center Square, in front of the Jianye Sales Department. In the afternoon we first went to the library of the Cultural Center to borrow books, which is a 22-story high-rise building. After borrowing the books, we couldn’t wait to arrive at the gate of the Strange Stone Root Sculpture Exhibition.

When you walk into the inflatable semicircular arch, the first thing you see are two root sculptures, one on the left and one on the right, like two tigers guarding the door. The one on the right is "Pangu". The creator skillfully based on the complex root system of the big tree and used his superb carving skills to create this artistic root carving. Pangu in the root carving is holding a big ax and chopping down the big vine connecting heaven and earth. I saw Pangu with a tense face, holding a huge ax, holding his breath, and slashing at the big vine over there with his round arms, depicting the character's movements and expressions perfectly.

The one on the left is "Dapeng Spreading Wings". The sculpture is like a big roc, leaning down, with two wide and long wings fully extended, one paw has already lifted off the ground, and the other One paw is half-stepped on the ground, and two bright eyes are staring into the distance, as if observing the surrounding situation and preparing to take off. It makes people feel that this roc is majestic and about to take off and fight for the blue sky. .

After leaving the two "welcoming root sculptures", we looked over there. Wow! There are many root carvings, some look like birds, some look like animals, some look like people, and some are so strange that their appearance cannot be identified. There are also strange stones there, some are like the sea, some are like facial makeup, some are like a piece of meat, and some are like crystals... Every treasure is priceless and comes in various shapes, which makes people marvel. Together they are like a hundred flowers blooming. Colorful, colorful, dazzling, so beautiful!

The root carvings here are the meticulous work of designers. Some are carved into sika deers, some into blooming flowers, some into billowing waves, and some into dragons. It seems to be a huge pressure, soaring straight into the sky, making people feel majestic and relaxed, and a feast for the eyes! Ah, these root carvings are carved by people who cleverly make use of the beautiful scenery and wonders of nature, giving people a comfortable feeling.

After leaving the root carving exhibition, we came to the strange stone exhibition. The strange stones here are all made of nature. The first thing we appreciate is the elegance of fossils. The two large rocks that came in front of me had a pattern of plants on them, like dots of green pines hidden among the green woods. The fossil we saw on the lampstand last time should be of this type. I hope the relevant departments can discover and collect these hidden fossils. There are also some petrified wood, which are fossilized trees from ancient times and look very beautiful.

Then there is a stone that can be called a strange stone. I saw a huge stone, one meter high from top to bottom, with many purple crystals inlaid in the middle! This is really precious. Counting, there are about twenty crystals hidden inside, crystal clear, shining with dazzling light, very beautiful. Then we saw some funny stones: some were like pork belly, with lines on them. Some are like frozen meat, which looks crystal clear, as if it has just been taken out of the refrigerator. The funniest thing is two stones that look like pig’s trotters. They have pork belly stripes on the top and the shape of pig’s trotters on the bottom. It’s so tempting! I really wanted to pounce and take a bite.

Then we saw a gray stone, which seemed to be rendered with only colors and no Chinese words outlined with ink lines: Nearby, there was a wide waterfall, stumbling and roaring down from the mountains. ,;In the distance, there is a sun, rising in the east, emitting thousands of rays of light. It is really magical!

The next thing that came into view were several dinosaur egg fossils, which were said to have been transported from the Xixia. Then we saw a black boulder with only white stripes on it, but the white stripes outlined looked so much like a map of China! Heilongjiang chicken heads, Xinjiang tails, Shandong Peninsula and even Taiwan Island and Hainan Island are all clear! What a spectacle! The onlookers kept praising this miracle created by nature!

Finally, after looking at the last few stones, the strange stone root carving exhibition was over, and we reluctantly left here. Root carvings are works of art created by humans, while strange stones are miraculous creations of nature.

I deeply fall in love with these works of art. They are not only treasures of the motherland, but also shining pearls in the art world!
