The main source of carbohydrates
Carbohydrates mainly come from food crops such as sucrose, flour, rice, sweet potato, potato and yam. Simple carbohydrates such as sucrose, fructose, glucose and lactose can be quickly absorbed by the digestive tract to provide "emergency energy".
Starch (found in cereals, potatoes, peas and other foods) belongs to complex carbohydrates, and the body needs to break them down into simple carbohydrates and reuse them. Therefore, they can continuously supply energy for a period of time; Corn, whole wheat, oats and sweet potatoes contain complex unprocessed carbohydrates, which are also ideal sources of basic nutrients such as dietary fiber, vitamins and minerals.
