What kinds of dances are there in the world?
International standard ballroom dancing, also known as "sports dance", was originally called "ballroom dancing" and English is "ballroom dancing", which was held by European nobles in the court. After the French Revolution, ballroom dancing spread among the people. After World War II, Americans spread this kind of dance all over the world, and formed a dance craze, which never stopped.
After more than one hundred years' development, "social dance" has developed from "social dance" to "competitive dance", from a single dance to two series of ten dances of modern dance and Latin dance. The "Royal Dance Teachers Association" was established in 1904. This organization unified the dance forms, steps and directions that were popular in Europe and America at that time into a standard, formulated competitive standards on dance theory, skills, music, clothing, etc., and published it as International Standard Ballroom Dance (hereinafter referred to as Ballroom Dance), which was followed by countries all over the world, and Blackpool in Britain even became a sacred place for ballroom dancing. At present, all countries in the world have renamed international standard dance "sports dance" and want to incorporate dance into sports. The International Dance Federation, with 74 member countries, officially became a member of the International Olympic Committee on September 4th. 1997 became a performance event of the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 and will become an official competition event in 2008.
Latin dances in national dances include samba, rumba, bullfighting, cha-cha and cowboy. These five dances are widely circulated in social occasions and sports dance competitions. Usually two people jump together, a man and a woman. There are different hugs, sometimes close hugs, and sometimes partners hug with one hand. The postures in these dances have been standardized and divided into different levels to facilitate teaching, and there are internationally unified terms, techniques, rhythms and beats. But beyond that, these dances have different origins.
Romance (French, Spanish, Portuguese and Romanian) originated from ancient Latin and spread all over America, thus forming a culture. There are three kinds of dances from this place, one from Spain or France and the other from the United States, which contributed to the current international standard dance-Latin dance. Speaking of Latin dance, it is short for Latin America, not geographical Latin America. These three dances from Latin America are the fusion of native, European and black dances. In the early days, European conquerors imported blacks from all parts of West Africa to most parts of America, mainly because it was difficult for them to persuade indigenous people to work for them. There are so many blacks that it has reached 1553, which has surpassed the number of Europeans in Mexico. The governor ordered Charles of Spain to ban further influx of blacks. Dance plays an important role in European, black and indigenous cultures. 1569, the Mexican governor ordered the burial of the calendars of the abbatte people, because the main entertainment of the blacks had become dancing and became popular there. Then, the governor issued a decree that dancing can only be done on Sundays and festivals from 2 pm to 6 pm.
From17th century to18th century, the gradual integration of three cultures led to the emergence of a new culture called Creole Whispering. With the introduction of European dance into Latin America, they gradually accepted this culture. In Cuba, with the popularity of syncopation rhythm, the opposite dance became Habanella (a kind of tango-like dance). Later, with the integration with the rhythm of bar music, syncopation became stronger and stronger, becoming the abbreviation of "Zi". This rhythm has been used in Brazil since 1795, and one of the songs (love songs) was very popular in Europe at the turn of19th century. The complex syncopation rhythm has now become a feature of all Latin dances.
-1924, London, England, European and American dancers were initiated by Britain. On the basis of extensive study of traditional court dance, ballroom dance and Latin American dances, they standardized and beautified this. 1925 officially promulgated four dance steps: waltz, tango, foxtrot and trot, collectively known as modern dance. This kind of dance was first promoted and competed in western Europe, and then spread to all countries in the world, and was welcomed and loved by many countries.
-1950, Blackpool Dance Festival 1950 (Blackpool Dance Festival) is the first worldwide competition, sponsored by ICBD (World Dance Organization) in Britain, and the standardized dance is named international standard ballroom dance. Later, at the end of May each year, it was held in the Blackpool Dance Festival in Britain. With the continuous promotion of this dance in the world, it has also developed itself, and the Viennese waltz has been added to modern dance.
From 65438 to 0960, folk dances in some countries in Africa and Latin America were standardized, and then Latin dance competitions were added. There are also five Latin dances: rumba, cha-cha-cha, samba, cowboy and bullfighting. Modern dance and Latin dance have different styles.
Besides tango, modern dance originated in continental Europe. Its music is sometimes passionate, sometimes touching and sexy, its movements are delicate and rigorous, and its dress is very particular, which embodies the gentlemanly demeanor of men and the charm of women in European countries. Men need to wear a tuxedo and a white bow tie; Ladies show their luxury, beauty, elegance and gentleness with elegant and gorgeous long skirts.
Latin dance, in addition to bullfighting, originated in American countries, and its music is passionate and rhythmic. Guided by the incisive footwork, it is free and smooth, showing the graceful lines of women, touching people's hearts, charming in atmosphere, lively and enthusiastic, fully showing the breath of youth and joy, while men show the arrogant, magnificent and atmospheric personality beauty.
