What did Teacher's Day inherit?
Our country has always had the tradition of respecting teachers and attaching importance to teaching, and Teacher's Day has a long history, but there were no teachers in ancient China, so there was no Teacher's Day.
The origin of teacher's day
September 10 of Gregorian calendar is Teachers' Day in China. Teacher's Day was established in the history of our country. 193 1 year, educators Taihe Cheng Qibao gathered in Nanjing Central University and issued a declaration, demanding "improving teachers' treatment, ensuring teachers' work and enhancing teachers' self-cultivation", and unanimously agreed that June 6 was Teachers' Day, also known as Double Six Days. Soon, the Kuomintang government first agreed to June 6th as Teacher's Day, and then changed it to August 27th (the birthday of Confucius in the lunar calendar).
After the founding of New China, the Central People's Government resumed June 6th as Teachers' Day, and the Ministry of Education informed local educators to organize their own celebrations according to the actual situation. 195 1 year, the national education trade union was established, and educators were recognized as part of the working class. 1951April19, Minister of Education and Chairman of the National Committee of China Education Trade Union made a written statement, announcing that "May 1 International Labor Day" is also Teacher's Day.

However, due to the lack of teachers on this day, the implementation result is not ideal. Especially after 1957, under the influence of "Left" thought, teachers were ignored, and Teacher's Day actually did not exist.
In recent years, our government has taken many measures to mobilize the whole society to respect teachers, improve their status and improve their working and living conditions. In order to further improve teachers' political and social status, form a social fashion of respecting teachers, respecting knowledge and talents, and promote the development of education, according to many proposals made by NPC deputies, CPPCC members and people from all walks of life, especially teachers from all over the world,
Significance of Teachers' Day
Respecting teachers and attaching importance to teaching is an excellent traditional culture in China. As early as the Western Zhou Dynasty in 1 1 century BC, the idea of "disciples should be teachers and respect their fathers" was put forward. The word "teacher" has two meanings: "It refers to both a social role and the undertaker of this role". The initial intention of setting up Teacher's Day is to respect teachers and pay attention to education, hoping to achieve the goal of respecting teachers and paying attention to education through the establishment of this festival.
In fact, it is not the most important day for Teachers' Day. The most important thing is how to improve teachers' image and quality, form a social fashion of respecting teachers and attaching importance to morality, promote the construction of teachers' team and mobilize teachers' enthusiasm for teaching and educating people.
Celebrate Teachers' Day in various forms.
In Huai 'an, Jiangsu Province, thousands of drones formed a model to pay tribute to the hard-working gardener. In Jiaxing, Zhejiang and Hulunbeier, Inner Mongolia, city landmarks light up the lights for teachers. In Fenyi, Jiangxi, the children planned a get-together to give special holiday gifts to the teachers stationed in the countryside. In Changzhi, Shanxi, the students carefully recorded the video of blessing and were full of hearts for the teacher.
