How does Jingdezhen protect the ceramic context?

On March 7th, in Beijing, during the National People's Congress, Yimei, deputy to the National People's Congress and mayor of Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province, also said in Beijing that Jingdezhen would further strengthen its cultural self-confidence, strengthen its open thinking, integrate into the Belt and Road, and let the ceramic culture with a long history tell the story of China with a new attitude and have a dialogue with the world.

Mei also said that Jingdezhen, as a world-famous porcelain capital, has kept watch for more than 2,000 years with the deepest consciousness on the road of China ceramic culture inheritance and innovation. "Millennium Kiln Fire, Wan Li Porcelain Road" and "Artisans come from all directions and utensils come from all corners of the country" are the most vivid portrayal of the city's history of inheriting and innovating ceramic culture and going out.

Mei also said that as we all know, porcelain is not only the most important commodity on the Silk Road, the most expensive "Made in China" in the first globalization era, but also the China culture in the eyes of foreigners. China ceramics have played a very unique role in promoting the exchange, integration and mutual learning of human civilization.

As the representative of Jiangxi culture, ceramics is the name card of China and the language of the world. In the new era, how can Jingdezhen integrate into the "Belt and Road", so that ceramic culture can tell the story of China with a brand-new attitude and talk to the world? In this regard, Mei also gave a detailed explanation.

Protecting ceramic context

Mei also said that Jingdezhen is taking the opportunity that Jingdezhen Royal Kiln Factory Site Protection Area is listed in the China World Cultural Heritage Protection List to comprehensively strengthen the protection and utilization of Jingdezhen cultural relics and the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage, and start a comprehensive and systematic protection and utilization project of "three old" cultural relics such as 150 old kiln sites, 108 old streets and "top ten porcelain factories" in the city.

"We hope to clearly show the historical context of the Millennium porcelain capital, so that Jingdezhen, the world's ceramic cultural shrine, can be traced and rooted." Mei also said:

Promote innovation and development

When you come to Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, you can see a number of new cultural landmarks integrating cultural industry, cultural creativity and ceramic tourism, such as Taoxichuan, Sanbao Porcelain Valley, Imperial Kiln Landscape and Fangming Garden. Nowadays, Jingdezhen ceramic culture has initially formed new cultural phenomena such as "magnetic field effect" and "siphon effect".

Mei also said, for example, that the outstanding performance is the emergence of a new urban cultural group such as "Beijing drift" and "Gui Jing". Every year, more than 30,000 foreign artists and ceramic talents gather in Jingdezhen, the capital of porcelain, including more than 5,000 overseas people. "They perceive Chinese excellent traditional culture with personal experience and become an important force to spread Chinese culture".

In addition, Mei also said that Jingdezhen has strengthened cooperation with the Palace Museum, the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the China Academy of Fine Arts and Jingdezhen Ceramic University, carried out academic discussions, training and interactive cooperation in ceramics, activated the innovative ability of a new generation of ceramic talents, turned historical accumulation into contributions to the times, and made the world feel the vitality of China traditional culture.

Optimize the dialogue platform

From June 5th to 10 every year, China Ministry of Commerce and Jiangxi Provincial Government hold Jingdezhen International Ceramics Expo in China, which has been successfully held for 14 times.

As the "World Handicraft and Folk Art Capital", Jingdezhen has also joined the UNESCO Global Creative City Network, established friendly relations with many foreign ceramic culture and ceramic industry cities, actively promoted the inclusion of ceramic cultural activities in national large-scale exhibitions and major events, and organized many ceramic cultural exchange activities at home and abroad at different levels every year.

During the G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany last July, Jingdezhen successfully held the "Perception of China, Ingenious Ceramics-Jingdezhen Ceramic Culture Exhibition" in Germany.

Mei also believes that this is the new charm of Jingdezhen ceramic culture today. Jingdezhen will continue to strive for more platforms at the national level, strengthen policy support and guidance, * * * tell the story of China well, convey the voice of Jiangxi, enhance the new image of Jingdezhen, and gather more strength for revitalizing China ceramic culture.

"The landscape is picturesque, and the kiln fire is silent for thousands of years." Mei also said that she hoped that more people would pay attention to the economic and social development of Jingdezhen, a thousand-year-old town and the porcelain capital of the world.
