Why is Taoism one of the traditional cultures?

Taoism is an important part of traditional Chinese culture. Taoism enriched ancient Chinese literature and art, providing it with ancient and magnificent language, rich and magical imagination, deep and strong sense of life and the desire to pursue one's own happiness. The ultimate pursuit of Taoism is to seek good fortune, avoid harm, enjoy joy forever, and emphasize the retention of the physical body, so Taoism is concerned with health care, and there are many Taoist classics that deal with this content, which is the treasure trove of ancient Chinese medicine; meanwhile, the so-called flying pills in Taoist formulae have laid a certain foundation for modern chemistry and military. Last but not least, Taoism started from the folklore, the rituals of marriage and funeral in the secular life are mostly Taoist equations, and many of the deities in the folklore beliefs also belong to the Taoist divine genealogy. The relationship between Taoism and traditional Chinese culture is so complex that it cannot be made clear in one or two sentences. Each issue can be written into several doctoral dissertations.
