Technological characteristics of Dehua porcelain carving

Dehua porcelain carving is eclectic to other art categories and the accumulation of national culture. The eight methods of porcelain and plastic are 1. 5. Scraping: On the basis of carving, scraping horizontally and vertically with a flat knife makes the surface of the work smoother and the transition softer.

6. Cutting: use a sharp carving knife to flatten the machined surface, which is mostly used for larger planes or cylinders.

7. Splicing: Glue all parts together to make the composition of the work more three-dimensional. 8. Sticking: Sticking the decorative patterns and ornaments of the relief to the appropriate parts to enrich the works.
