Why increasing dissolved oxygen rate is key to aerobic fermenter design
Aerobic fermenter design improves dissolved oxygen rates by increasing the transfer and dissolution of oxygen, which usually involves an agitator or other oxygen transfer device within the tank. The agitator disperses air bubbles in the liquid, thereby increasing the contact area between the oxygen and the microorganisms. In addition, an oxygen pressurization system or a high-speed oxidizer can be used to increase the rate of oxygen delivery and dissolution.
Modern aerobic fermenters use advanced oxygen dissolution devices to deliver oxygen quickly and uniformly to the tank, and to control the oxygen content of the tank. For example, the use of new gas-liquid forced circulation reactor and microporous gas dispersion device and other high-efficiency oxidation technology, can achieve efficient dissolved oxygen and aerobic microorganisms multiply.
