What time does the Spring Festival Gala start today?
CCTV's Spring Festival Gala started at 8 pm on New Year's Eve and ended at around 12:30 am.
The Spring Festival Gala integrates songs, dances, dramas, sketches, cross talk and other programs. After more than 30 years of development, the program has not only firmly established its status, but also spawned a series of similar programs on CCTV, such as "Variety Show", "Quds"
"Yuan Zatan", Spring Festival Opera Gala, Spring Festival Song and Dance Gala, and various holiday variety shows such as National Day, May Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, New Year's Day and other festivals.
CCTV's 2019 Year of the Pig Spring Festival Gala will continue the tradition of the three Spring Festival Galas in 2016, 2017 and 2018. In addition to the main venue of CCTV Studio 1, there will be branch venues.
The number of Spring Festival Gala branch venues in 2019 has been reduced from four to three, namely: Jinggangshan City, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, and Changchun City, Jilin Province.
The themes of the three sub-venues are: Jiangxi Jinggangshan - looking back on the past and holding our heads high in the new era; Jilin Changchun (FAW) - striving to promote the revitalization of Northeast China and opening a new chapter in the era; Guangdong Shenzhen - the city of youth, fashion and technology in the future.
