Automatic air brake for train braking

Automatic air brakes are characterized by relief occurring when the train tube exhausts (depressurizes) when the brake cylinder inflates (pressurizes). The advantage is that, when the train separation accident, the brake hose is pulled off, the train tube air pressure drops sharply, the three-way valve piston automatically and quickly move to the braking position, so the train can automatically and quickly brake until the stop. This not only improves the safety of train operation, and the time difference between the front and rear of the train to start the braking effect is small, that is, braking and relieving - better, suitable for longer trains; therefore, the most widely used in the world's railroads. Braking wave is significantly lower than air braking.
