In 2005, South Korea's "gangneung danoje festival" was declared as "a masterpiece of human legend and intangible heritage" by UNESCO, and the "Dragon Boat Festival dispute between China and South Korea" instantly became a hot topic.
On May 20th, 2006, Dragon Boat Festival was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage.
On September 30th, 2009, China Dragon Boat Festival was selected into UNESCO's Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Four years later, China Dragon Boat Festival was finally successfully listed in the "Intangible Cultural Heritage List" and officially entered the "World Heritage".

Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival in China. It is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month and has a history of more than 2,500 years. Various folk activities, such as sacrifice, entertainment and health care, are derived from the seasonal custom of exorcising poison and evil spirits, mainly including offering sacrifices to Qu Yuan, commemorating Wu Zixu, inserting mugwort leaves, hanging calamus, drinking realgar wine, eating zongzi, dragon boat racing, eliminating five poisons and so on.
