Lao Tzu's "Opposition is the movement of the Tao, weakness is the use of the Tao, everything under the sun is born from existence and existence is born from nothing." What is the philosophy of the Tao

Lao Tzu's "Opposition is the movement of the Tao, weakness is the use of the Tao, everything under the sun is born from existence and existence is born from nothing." What is the philosophy of the Tao Te Ching? First of all, Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching is the scripture that reveals the whole of life in the universe, i.e., the "Tao". The so-called philosophy is a modern Western concept, but of course, it is possible to interpret Laozi's words as philosophical.

The direct translation of this verse is: "To go back and forth is the movement of the Tao; to be soft and humble is the utility of the Tao; everything under the sun is born out of something, and something is born out of nothing".

The philosophy is that everything is moving in the opposite direction, and at the same time, something is created out of nothing.

For example, if we are born, we will be born in the opposite direction, i.e., in the direction of death. We can't change this, but we can only be gentle and humble and conform to this law. This is where the positive meaning of life is derived. Knowing that we are going to die, we can row against the current, honoring the Tao and virtue, and stimulating the momentum of life. The body is born from the combination of parents "out of nothing", and by extension, human beings or all things are born from the "Tao" of nothing.

Things in reverse, out of nothing, can not be seen as negative. On the contrary, we should be aware of the positive aspects of life.
