What is the difference between Cantonese mooncake and Soviet mooncake?
Cantonese-style mooncakes originated in 1889, when a pastry shop in the west of the city used lotus seeds to make lotus seed paste as the filling for the cakes, which was so fragrant and delicious that it was very popular among customers.
Soviet mooncake production technology is actually the collective wisdom of the ancient people, originated in the Tang Dynasty, flourished in the Song Dynasty. It was not until the emergence of Taoxiangcun in the 38th year of the Qianlong reign in the Qing Dynasty that this technique began to be truly collected, organized, improved, innovated and spread.

It's name is generally based on the main ingredients of the cake filling, such as five kernels, golden leg, lotus seed paste, bean paste, bean paste, date paste, coconut paste, winter paste and so on.
