Why Freshman Year Believes in Marxist Ethics and the Rule of Law

First, Marxism is by far the most scientific, rigorous and vital theoretical system. Lenin pointed out that "Marx's doctrine has unlimited power just because it is correct." Marxism is a scientific theory created on the basis of critically absorbing the outstanding ideological achievements of previous generations and summing up the historical experience of mankind, and is a collection of the achievements of human civilization, which profoundly reveals the universal laws of nature, human society and the development of thinking. In his book Marxism: For and Against, the renowned American scholar Heilbroner made it clear that in order to explore the prospects for the development of human society, it was necessary to turn to Marx, and that human society was still living within the laws of development enunciated by Marx. Comrade Deng Xiaoping once firmly said, "I firmly believe that there will be more people in the world who are in favor of Marxism, because Marxism is science."

Second, Marxism represents the fundamental interests of the broadest working masses. Marx and Engels both came from bourgeois families, but they opposed the rule of the minority and the system of exploitation of man by man. Marx and Engels pointed out in the ****Proletarian Manifesto: "All movements in the past have been movements of the minority or for the benefit of the minority. The movement of the proletariat is an independent movement of the vast majority, for the benefit of the vast majority." It can be said that there has never been a theory in history so closely linked to the destiny of the working class and the working people as Marxism. It is for this reason that Marxism, as soon as it arose, "found adherents in all the civilized languages of the world."

Thirdly, Marxism provides us with a scientific method for understanding and transforming the world. Marxism has a distinctive practical character, which is not satisfied with "explaining the world" but is committed to "changing the world". Lenin once said that Marx "gave the great tool of understanding to mankind, especially to the working class". This great tool of understanding is dialectical materialism and historical materialism. Dialectical materialism and historical materialism profoundly reveal the nature of things, their inner connections and the laws of development, and provide a scientific guide for human beings to grasp the laws of development of things and solve the practical problems they face. Chairman Mao has likened them to "binoculars" and "microscopes". It is precisely because of the "telescope" and "microscope" of dialectical materialism and historical materialism that we can y understand the nature of the world and the relationship between human beings and the outside world, and gain insight into the laws of the development of human society and grasp the general trend of historical development.

Fourth, Marxism has scientifically predicted the ideal state of future society and pointed out the direction of development of human society. From the day of the birth of mankind, especially after entering the class society, it has been struggling to find the ideal social state. Marx and Engels, on the basis of their criticism of the old world, scientifically envisioned the future society and revealed the historical inevitability of mankind's progress towards ****productivism. This kind of social system, in which there is no exploitation, no oppression, and equality for all, has rightly become the best social ideal that mankind has ever dreamed of. One of the important reasons why the Chinese ****productivist Party and the Chinese people chose Marxism is that the social ideal they depicted is in line with the direction of the development and progress of human society and is highly compatible with traditional Chinese culture. More than two thousand years ago, China's ancient Confucian classic "The Records of Rites" contains a description of the ideal commonwealth society, such as "the old have their own end, the strong have their own use, the young have their own growth, and the widowed, widows, orphans, the sick and the orphaned have their own support" and so on.
