Diet, Clothing, Architecture and Language of Modern Germanic Nationalities

I don't seem to understand what the landlord asked upstairs.

German nation:

Clothing: Traditional clothing is usually made of leather or hemp, but now it is partly replaced by chemical clothing. Traditional women's wear is a skirt with lace, which looks like an apron, while men's wear is a white shirt with leather pants or vest. Generally, traditional clothes look quite rustic.

Architecture: Baroque architecture is not as grand as Gothic architecture, but its colors are bright and its carving is relatively simple.

Diet: mainly meat, especially large pieces of pork, beef and ham. Bread and cheese are staple foods, but they are relatively simple and have relatively few varieties. Dairy products and eggs consume a lot, but not as much as Britain.

Language: German belongs to Germanic language family, which can also be considered as various similar languages. Because there is a big gap between German dialects, some dialects are closer to Dutch or even Danish. Generally speaking, German can be divided into low German and high German. Low German is spoken in the northern plain, and Dutch English is a kind of low German. Highland German is distributed in Ruhr and south Berlin. Standard German is German distributed in the mountainous areas of the central and western regions, and was previously called Rhine Frankish. Austrian German is very similar to Bavarian German and belongs to the southern accent in Highland German. Swiss German belongs to aleman dialect, similar to Baden-Bottenberg dialect.
