Courses Offered by the College of Liberal Arts of Jinan University

The College of Liberal Arts now has 3 undergraduate majors: Chinese Language and Literature, Drama, Film and Television Literature, and History, of which Chinese Language and Literature is a famous brand of Guangdong Province and the construction point of characteristic majors of colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education. There are two teacher education directions: Chinese Language and Literature (teacher education) direction, History (teacher education) direction. in January 1995, approved by the State Education Commission, the Department of Chinese Language and Literature was established as the national liberal arts basic disciplines of personnel training and scientific research base. in 2002, the Chinese Language and Literature Department of the Chinese Language and Literature program was approved by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education as a Guangdong Province, Guangdong Province, the University of colleges and universities brand-name major.　　At present, the College of Arts and Letters has one national quality course (History of Foreign Literature); four provincial quality courses (History of Ancient Chinese Literature, Introduction to Literature, Modern Chinese, Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature); and eight school-level quality courses (Modern World History, Basic Writing, College Language, Modern Chinese History, History of Chinese Thought, Overseas Chinese Literature, Ancient Chinese Language, Chinese Literature in Overseas Countries, Chinese Literature in Overseas Countries, Chinese Literature in Chinese).
