What about color photos?

There is no difference between a camera used to shoot a color image and a camera used to shoot a black and white image. The secret lies in color film.

Ordinary film has only one photosensitive film, which has no resolution to the color of light, and only changes according to the intensity of light, so it only shows the difference between black and white everywhere after exposure. There is only one photosensitive film on the surface of photographic paper, which can only show the degree of black and white.

According to the principle of tricolor, color film is coated with three layers of photosensitive substances on the substrate, which react to the light of three colors respectively.

In this way, after the film is exposed, three groups of images equivalent to the three primary colors will remain on the film. Colored paper is also coated with three layers of photosensitive materials.

When the color negative is covered with white light, the images formed by the three colors of light on the negative will pass through, exposing the three layers of photosensitive substances on the photographic paper respectively, and then developing and fixing them to form color photos.
