Chinese Chess Rules
The rules of Chinese Chess are as follows:
1. Board and pieces:
The board of Chinese Chess is a 10x8 square grid consisting of straight lines crossed by red and black colors. Each player has 16 pieces, including a general or marshal (red), two soldiers (red), two bishops (black), two knights (black), two rooks (black), two cannons (red), and two pawns (black).
2. Movement rules:
Pawns and soldiers: can only move forward, not backward. Unless special circumstances, they cannot cross over other pieces.
Rooks: can move anywhere on the horizontal and vertical lines without restriction.
Knight: Goes in the shape of the sun and needs to jump over a piece to move to that position.
Bishop: can only move on diagonal lines and cannot cross other pieces.
Sergeants and generals: can only move within the nine squares and cannot cross other pieces.
Cannons: need to pass through a piece to get to another square, cannot cross another piece.
Knights, rooks, cannons, sergeants, and generals can all move backward, but they need to conform to their own movement rules.
3. Special rules:
Knights are often attached to sergeants: when a knight's way out is occupied by an opponent's knight or pawn, it must rely on the sergeant to protect it.
Two rooks staggered: when two rooks are on the same line and there is no other piece in between to block them, they can attack each other.
Two knights often join forces: two knights usually act jointly when protecting a general. When one side has a rook guarding the rib road, it is difficult for the two knights to cooperate with the sergeant to attack the enemy's sergeant or the opponent's marshal or general.
Gaining discs and gaining momentum: Gaining discs means capturing the opponent's discs, while gaining momentum means occupying a favorable position. To gain a piece does not necessarily mean to gain a position, but to gain a position means to gain a piece.
Commander and general alive and dead: When the opponent has one commander or general left, even if the commander or general is captured and killed, your side can still win. For example, if a pawn or a sergeant is not dead, the opponent will not be able to win the game.
Killing a pawn (excluding 3 pawns): In a game in which the opponent's turn to move has very few chances of getting a pawn to the opponent's bottom line, the opponent is sure to win.
Knight-bishop coordination: A knight often coordinates with a bishop, but it may not capture its own bishop and the opponent's knight directly; otherwise, the game is considered to be a negative one. A knight-bishop coordination violation is called "knight-bishop forbidden move", and is awarded to the player who has lost three times in the game.
Knight-ranking and knight-ranking: A knight-ranking and knight-ranking move; when a knight-ranking and knight-ranking move commits a foul (a knight-ranking and knight-ranking foul is known as "knight-ranking and knight-ranking") three times in a game, the game is declared a loss.
Knight's Standing and Matching: A knight's standing and matching action; awarded when a knight's standing and matching fouls (a knight's standing and matching foul is known as a "knight's standing sum") are committed three times.
Horses' Standing and Shikari: when a horse has committed three fouls (a "horse's standings and sums"), the game is awarded a loss.
Double General Killing Method: When one side has two generals or marshals, it is called "Double General" or "Double Illuminated General" for short. It is a method of play that is bound to win. There are various forms of double generals, one of which is called "opposite laughing kill". This method of killing is to kill the other side of the marshal (general), his side of the marshal (general) to the same line with the other side of the marshal close to the kill.
